First open cpu cover and reconnect both connection to hardisk. Like sata or ide and power cable.
Then check in bios .
When you power up the computer pressF2 or "del" or F5 to enter in bios setup then load optimal defaults.check your harddisk is proeprly detected in bios.
also if youi have sata harddisk then enable sata option in advanced .

then save settings and exit.

  2. buy upgrade to SSD
  3. buy it in a PC store like Bestbuy

Just check the hard disk cable that it is fitted properly in the hard disk and in the motherboard also.

You buy another cable for hard disk which is called 80 conductor cable.

Just remvoe the cd rom and then try to install your hard disk. if it is detected than it means there is a problem of setting master and slave in jumper.

So just check again your jumper settings and read the front side description of hard disk for jumper settings.
