Marantz st4000 not started - Marantz Audio Players & Recorders

My first question is was it a Genuine Marantz replacement bulb, or simply a bulb advertised as "compatible".

There are an overwhelming number of bad luck stories about Marantz owners trying to save a few dollars by purchasing non-Marantz bulbs, and they always regretted it.
Usually the bulbs work for a brief time and then don't work.

I would urge you, if you did buy a bogus "compatible" bulb, to buy a genuine replacement.

Reset to factory and make sure you have a good network wifi signal before starting a firmware upgrade. The reset is listed on the last page of the troubleshooting section of the manual. (Surround + Clear for 3 Seconds on my SR6004)

Sounds like cold solder joints inside the unit...if you know how to solder you can take unit apart...look at the main pc board and see if you see some connections that look like they have cracks in them. A solder joint should be shiny and solid...if it looks like it may not be solid and shiny you can resolder it to make it like new again. This may solve your problem

Are you sure that you've got the correct value fuse in? Check that the motor/gearbox assembly will turn; ie, it's not siezed up. Check the wiring to the motor to make sure that there's no short circuit anywhere.

The clutch lever for the black wheel unit st4000 has Autohelm reference N011,see at Westmarine,is sparepart is available

CHECK THE POWER SUPPLY WIRING ,If it worked before ,could be corrosion or lose wire connection,or terminal bad crimped,or terminal loose inserted.
If it is new installation ,power wires could be undersized,or battery discharged .
Normally autopilot shuts off from auto and restarts when power supply voltage drops under the reset voltage ,when the wheel turns ,the motor current increase and the power voltage drops when the power supply wires are not OK.

GLUE THE SMALL POSTS EXACTLY IN PLACE AS THEY BROKE OFF ,DRILL A HOLE VERTICALLY THROUGH THE POSTS ,SAME SIZE AS HOLE IN THE SS WHASHER, (HOLE OF THE SCREWS)ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE BACKPLATE ,INSTALL A STAILLESS SCREW WITH HEAD ON THE REAR OF THE BACKPLATE AND NUT ON THE WASHER SIDE TRIM TO EXACT LENGHT USE LOCKTITE FOR NUT.

no fuse in this unit. checked first the switch terminal then the motor connetion. could be brushes.
