The manual should tell you how long it takes to charge but the on screen battery display will indicate the charge level
Usually the camera will download the images and then go into charge mode if you're using USB

you have a card that is rated too slow it sounds like. Did you by a cheap card to put in camera? if not, try to format the card and if that does not work make sure card works in computer. Good card means broken card connector on camera. Bad card means bad card.

Please verify your model number. Vivicam F126 cannot be found on the Vivitar website. I did find a link to the manual for the F128. If you have an F127, just change the "8" in the URL below to a "7."

Take the card out and download to PC with an USB card reader or use an USB cable from camera to PC.

Take it back and get a warranty exchange.

Well after looking at the manual, it is of no help but the pictures show it hinging open. Try pressing down and sideways along the compartment door from hinge line to outer edge. It it slides, it should unlock.

Read reviews that indicated Vivitar customer support told an owner to visit a camera shop. Manual is on the CD included with the camera.

Try clicking the middle round button and going forward until you ind date and then time. Click on them and you'll be able to set the date/time. My camera id the same but it's the s124. They're both similar and really works the same, exactly. It's just the different number. I hope this helps! :)
