My Hayward natural gas heater is two years old and went to use it. I pressed the mode button to pool and service light came on and also read low in temperature screen.

Big enough propane tank? proper pressure reducing valve on the propane? Check both of those.

lo usually indicates insufficient water flow and/or pressure switch malfunction.make sure filter is clean and pressure is in normal range

"IF" - Hayward Pool Heater Fails to Ignite: the most common reason for this problem is insufficient gas supply. The Hayward heater LED display will show a diagnostic fault code of "IF" which stands for Ignition Failure.
