Hello, i have a problem to connect to a computer with USB, when i plug the USB in it gives me a option of 3 :Media Player, PC Studio, Mass Storage. non of them work, media player and mass storage ask for a memory card so my computer cant find it, and with PC studio my computer cant find it. do i need software to connect to the computer?

while it depends on the phone model, but most Samsung phones have 3 options when connected via a USB cable. 1.Media mode 2.Mass Storage 3.PC Studio If you need to work on the memory card(browse file Etc.) then select Mass Storage. MEDIA MODE does the same thing but it also allows you to browse the phone's internal memory. to use PC Studio,you need the CD
Select Mass Storage, the computer will prompt you to choose what to do and look for which letter is assign to the phone. Now all you have to do is open the the newly removable disk, search for the pictures and drag & drop to the destination of your choosing.
Win Xp -> Go to Start-Control Panel - System - Device Manager - Last on the list is MTP player, click on it and select upgrade driver - i will choose myself - i there will be two options ( MTP player and USB mass storage device ) Pick Usb mass storage and then OK. Then your MP3 player is visible in My Computer
The quickest way to do this is to put your phone into Mass Storage Mode then connect it via the USB cable to your computer. Your phone shows up as a USB Mass Storage Device and you can select the folders you want to download your pictures from.
To set your phone to Mass Storage Mode, do the following:
- Go to the main menu - Select Settings - Then Select Phone Settings - Choose PC Connections from the menu - And then click on Mass Storage.
When you connect the USB cable to your computer, your phone will show up as a USB Storage device and you can just copy and past files to it like you would a USB Thumb drive. If you select the Samsung PC Studio option...your file transfers will take ALL DAY. Just use Mass Storage mode. Good luck.
uninstall the software and drivers from add/remove programs in control panel, goto www.samsung.com and search for your model of phone, then download centre, then download the PC Studio from there, its more updated on the site. Also make sure your bluetooth is switched off and that when you connect the phone it is set to PC studio and not mass storage or media player.
make sure that ur using the 2.0 port of ur computer
dont use front usb ports cpu. use rear ports. they are faster.
if still problem persists. try below
conect ur phone to usb. now without disturbing the connections switch off and then on the phone. now there may be chances.
samsung sofware could be corrupted due to virus on ur pc. remove all the viruses then freshly install suit

i got a problem. when i purchace yp-p2 it works normally.but now when i connect it to my pc my usb cable is not working now what i can do now .i cant dounload any songs.can u give me any solution
try finding this usb mass storage device driver on the windows xp cristal. 1.first instal the cd driver giver from samsung alias samsung media studio 5. 2.then restart computer. 3.plug the yp-u3 and then maybe is ok cya,hope this was helpfull.
What you have to do to put files on your computer or take them from your computer onto your phone is: go onto settings, onto phone settings, onto USB settings and chage it to either mass storage (if you want to put pictures, music and videos on) or media player (to just transfer music). Then plug in the USB cable that came with your phone into your computer/laptop and follow the instructions from there. NOTE: This only works with the Sampsung G600
