SOURCE: I have a Danby ice

Hi! As a first course of action please unplug the unit from power source and let it sit for atleast 5mins to reset the system. Once the system is resetted, you may get rid of the signal. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

SOURCE: "normal cycle" light keeps blinking

My normal light was blinking. Found the tech sheet under the machine. it had the pin out chart for testing the resistance on the ribbon cable for the push buttons. sure enough the normal button was showing continuity without even pushing the button. I pealed back the push buton cover on the front of the machine and found a short on the cable I scratched off the data bus where the short was and now the dishwasher works fine just can't chnge it from heavy to normal or rinse only. the control panel cost 150 dollars I can live without it.

SOURCE: All Cycle Lights on with one blinking sometimes working often not working.

1) tight the connector wires very well and clean with spray contact, of course unplugged the machine
2)resolder all point from the board for colder joint
3) Try again.
4) If the problem persist the problem is the board defective.
5) Call some service tech.
God bless you

DDW1809W-1 still acting up after I went back to normal dishwater soap

Turn off the mains power overnight. Run two cycles with no detergent. You can put lightly soiled items in and they should still come out reasonably clean.

Whirlpool washing machine (WTW4800Q1) only has the Fill/Sensing light blink when I turn it on. It was mid cycle, water full, when I first noticed an issue.

You confused it's logic board with too much stuff going on. Try this;

Unplug it from the wall.

Remove the drain hose and lower it into a bucket. FULLY empty the machine.

Now turn it on.

Run a full cycle without stopping or starting. That should reset the logic board.

Here is your manual in case you need it.

Danby portable Dishwasher advances from pre-rinse to dry and then beeps continuously and dry light continues to blink. Doesn't proceed, reset or stop cycle. Just continues to blink.

I actually found out (one of) the solution to this by accident. It could be the water source is not providing enough pressure

I purchased a Danby DDW1899W-1 and, using the connector screwed into my utility sink in the basement, I connected the water. When I tried to run a cycle, I had the same results (filled/emptied 4-5 times, beeped and went to dry cycle).

My alternate, long term plan was to put a Y-splitter (with shutoffs) on the hot water line for my washer, and have one hose go to the dishwasher when needed. I purchased a washer line hose from Home Depot and a 3/4" to Quick Connect fitting from Ace Hardware and then connected the dishwasher to this.

And, Voila! Problem solved!!!

To confirm this was the solution, after the first completed cycle, I connected back to the faucet and, once again had the fill/empty/beep/dry problem. Reverting to the split washer water feed, it was able to run the cycles properly (again!!!)

So you may just need a line that will supply more water pressure to the dishwasher.

Good luck and, hopefully, this solves the problem.

I have a Danby DDW1899WP portable dishwasher. I just got it yesterday. I had a lot of dirty dishes so I did 1 cycle first and it worked perfectly, I was impressed. I then started a 2nd cycle for the rest...

I realize the above question is almost 4 years old, but I am sure others are still having this problem. My Danby was behaving the same way: drying cycle light would flash like it was having a myocardial infarction, and the cycle would stop. I could only get the light to stop flashing by turning the unit off. What you didn\'t say above is what happens then: everything most likely returns to normal-- or at least, so it seems. I have now had this happen to me two times in a row with my Danby 1899WP. Each time the machine has started up just fine, drains water out, loads in fresh water, and begins the wash cycle, only to freeze up with that damn flashing red light on the dry cycle and the dishes not clean. I have owned it for about two months, and so far this is my only complaint. I am running it again right now, for the third time, and we shall see what that light does now.... Will report back afterward!

Compressor in the back is hot

Good day,
It is normal for a compressor to run hotter than normal when it is going thru it's pull down cycle.
One, it is working harder than normal since the interior is still warmer than normal.
As well, at the beginning, since the machine is trying to get to normal temps as well as cooling the walls, it will run excessively if not all the time.
Waiting 48 hours would be prudent to make a judgement call.
The compressor should be warm, but since by then it should be shutting off and on it will tend overall to be cooler.
If it reaches normal operating temperatures and cycles off and on, I wouldn't worry about it.

Turned on self clean on my GE Spectra JBP24B0B4WH Range

Hello Cliff Hendershot,

One USA manual ... said turn off power for 10 minutes
(sounds reasonable after looking up cost of control board)...

USA websites are not responding to your number.
Closest I could get was to a $78 (us dollar) control panel

>> ((IMPORTANT PART ... has a video that shows repair))
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/ge-oven-control-t09-wb27t11312-ap5177950.html

~~

I could NOT get a good READ on your JBP24... page 8
So I attached a JBP19 (below)... Page 12.

The most COMMON reason to FAIL after a cleaning cycle
is your OVEN CONTROL is "off normal"

(You still do not have your MANUAL MODE restored).

Normal = "AUTOMATIC" LIGHT Off (NOT LIT)

Check your "oven controls"

else

Oven elements do break during routine use...
Check both roast & bake elements for continuity.
