GE Clock Radio 7-4612B. 1993 model. unable to locate any sort of manual or explanation for this display.
I recently had the same problem with my GE model 7-4966 clock radio. The radio manual states that there is a spare bulb included and stored on the underside of the battery compartment door on the bottom of the clock radio.
To replace the bulb:
1. Twist the bulb bar handle on the underside of the radio to unlock and remove the holder.
2. Carefully pull the bulb out of the holder and replace with the spare bulb.
3. Place the holder back in place, twist the bar handle to the right to "lock" the bulb holder in position.
In case you can't find a spare bulb, the manual states "use only a GE259 or equivalent 6.3 volt, wedge base bulb. A clerk at Radio Shack told me she could get a replacement bulb.
You can down load the manual on link below for free.
Good Luck and please rate 4 thumbs up for the free answer.
I have this same problem with my clock radio, same model #. I have a feeling that this may mean this clock will be on its way to the dumpster very soon.
SOURCE: CRA108: I can not set
My Coby CRA108 starting doing this after 6 months of use. Although I described the display as 1P:C8 since there is no key to properly display the character (hybrid of a G & C). I've left it unplugged and changed the backup battery with hopes it would reset. No luck so far. Anyone have success???
