Sometimes I get this code, looking for the answer
I had the same or similar problem, after troubleshooting with the above post to no avail I started taking the maching apart.
Here is what fixed my F02 code:
1 Took off bottom plate below the door revealing the inside of the machine
2 Carefully unscrewed the plastic filter trap
3 It was stuffed with all sorts of junk so I emptied it
4 Replaced the Filter trap where it goes
5 Put the bottom plate back on below the front door
All along the filter that helps keep the drain lines from clogging was clogged itself, if you havent checked yours ever it might be a good idea to look inside.
Hope this helps someone
ABSOLUTELY !!!! Just as teh above guy said. DIdn't know there was a drain filter down there. Tw osocks got trapped. Works like a charm now. Whew !!!!!!!!!!!!
fixed our problem. thanks
Thank you SO MUCH...fixed my problem, too (other than the fact I didn't get the cover to the filter screwed back on tight enough - LOL - I oughta know better than to close it up before I run a cycle to check! Live and learn!).
To clean the plastic filter all you need to do is:
1) Get a 7MM socket or appropriate male star screwdriver
2) Remove the 3 screws that hold the bottom panel on the washer
3)Place a towel under the washer and carefully unscrew the filter out of the assembly (about a half gallon or more of water will come out as you take the filter out)
4)Remove all the debris from the catch basin in the filter
5)Put filter back in and re-attach the panel to bottom of washer
The whole process takes less than 10 minutes and is very easy to do. It had been a while since I cleaned mine out there were about a half dozen coins in it and some paperclips.

"F02" is a Long Drain error code. This usually means the drain pump or drain lines are clogged, or you have a pump that is malfunctioning. Restarting the washer will not clear this code. The following link explains:

If you need to replace the drain pump, they can be purchased on line at searspartsdirect.com, appliancepartspros.com, pcappliancerepair.com, or repairclinic.com. You can use any web source you like, but these, I have found, offer the best service and pricing. Shop all of them for the best price. Just use your model number (located around the door opening) for your search criteria.
Hopefully you won't require any parts. If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.
Could some one show mw where the drain pump filter is.thanks
