I put my watch away for years because I worked in dark setting. Took it out recently and used sun to recharge. Can't get the watch to adjust the date and day to reality even after getting it to receive the satalite. Could the save mode being on be part of the problem? If so, how do I get it to turn off? I lost the manual years ago.
Thank you so very much "escapement" (Solution #1). I went to the site you recommended, found the manual for my watch. It helped me fully understand my problem, provided me with a new copy of the manual I lost and I now have my watch set to the correct time, date, month, year, etc. I also understand why I haven't been able to get my watch to auto update over the last week. Thank you so very much, you are my hero tonight!!! DanThank you so very much "escapement" (Solution #1). I went to the site you recommended, found the manual for my watch. Took me a while to figure out but this is how I did it
Scroll through with mode button until you are at the Time
Hold reset button it will start to flash, release
Hit start button to toggle between 12/24h clock once you have picked that
Mode button again to get year to flash
Start button to change
Repeat with mode then start buttons until satisfied then
Press reset button to go back to normal mode
This depends if you want to use the autoreceive mode or not. If you're within an area that you can pick up the signal, it should set itself automatically at 3AM, 4AM and 5AM. You can force it to try and calibrate to the broadcast signal by holding down the receive button while in the "normal" time mode. For best results, put it near a window that faces Colorado (assuming you're in the states) with the top of the watch facing the window.
To turn on or off the autoreceive mode:
From the time mode, hold down the Adjust button until the watch beeps and your time zone is flashing at the bottom. Press the Mode button twice so [ON/OFF] Auto is flashing. Press Receive to toggle the mode, then press Adjust twice to set.
If, for whatever reason, you're unable or don't want to use autoset, to manually set:
From the time mode, hold down the Adjust button until the watch beeps and your time zone is flashing at the bottom. Press the Adjust button again and 12H/24H will be flashing at the bottom. Press mode again and seconds will be flashing. Mode once more and the hours will be flashing. Use Time Memo/Receive to set it to what you want. Press mode again and minutes flash. Again, use Time Memo/Receive to set it to what you want. Repeat for year, month & day. Press Adjust to finish chaning the time.

As an extra tip, to advance the date a little faster, you can turn the stem and rotate the hours past midnight and keep going until you pass 2 AM, then you can wind backwards, going past about 8:30 and you will hear a 'click', then you can go past 12 am again and the date will change. This makes it a little quicker to advance the date several days.
This watch automatically sets itself. I you live in the eastern time zone, you just have to wait for the watch to receive the signal then it will set itself to the correct time & date. The signal is strongest at night between the hours of 10:00 pm & 2:00 am so it normally takes over night to set. Sometimes the weather interferes with the signal so I tell people to give them a couple of days to pick up. Also if you are having trouble receiving the signal try placing the watch by a window. If you do not live in the eastern time zone try these instructions:
Hold down the button for 2 seconds until the time zone abbreviation & zone flash the keep pressing the button until your correct time zone is displayed. Then wait about 8 seconds for the watch to return to normal display. Then you just have to wait until it picks up the signal & sets itself. I hope this helps.
In "Time Mode" when time is displayed, hold the "mode" button until the alarm flashes. Press the "mode" button again and the display should change to the seconds flashing. Press the st/stop button to change location between seconds, minutes, hours, date, month, and day. Use the lap/reset button to make any changes.
A "non" fully charged watch will sometimes "jump" seconds rather than indicate one second intervals. Charging these small solar panel watches takes forever, in BRIGHT sun. Have you tried leaving it outside, in the sunlight, for at least 12 hours?
1st: Press the mode button to go to the alarm screen.
2nd: Press the adjust button for the time to flash
3rd: (For the Hourly Alarm) You can adjust the time here while it is flashing by pressing the start/stop button. Cycle through this until you have the time you want. The setting will have the P in the left side of the screen for PM (night time).
4th: (For the Daily Alarm) Do steps 1-3 once the time is flashing use the Mode button to cycle through to the date field of the watch. Once it is flashing you can use the Start/Stop Button to chose which date Month/Day, after chosing the month just press the Mode button once more to go to the day field.
