could be a number of reasons but the one I think of is a capacitor on its way out. check for leaking electrilytic caps . Could also be diodes or transistors ,even resistors .

Galaxy dx 66v off frequency ch18 is ch19 and a galaxy 33hp2 dead key but no modulation

gal 66 check the 10kHz switch. or you may have a bad cap, or crystal,.. the 33hp2 check the am regulator transistor... is bad or shorted.

HOW MUCH IS THIS RADIO WORTH NEW

The Galaxy DX-66V is worth between $270 and $300 new. If I were to have one on the shelf for sell at my shop, I would price it at $285. That would be already converted and peaked and tuned, ready to talk.

Galaxy dx-66v its hard to explain but the sound will start to like buzzing or humming frequency counter starts jumping around cant hear people talking sometimes turning it off then on again will fix it for...

I have found bad cabling and bad grounds on this and the other board in the freq counter can.

Will not transmitt after triple 520 final kit install,will receive fine

rather than use a small linier you decided to break your radio instead . It still sounds like a cold solder point to me .

Lost channels in a galaxy 66v cb radio

as far as the transmit frequency changing while you have the mic keyed this is normal, the transmit frequency is a little different than the receive, as far as the lost channels go you need to check the galaxy website and check to see if thier is any fixes listed. if none is listed then you can send the tech's a e-mail and tell them your problem and they will advise you on what to do.
