Similair problem, but no spark issue, just stopped working. No power at all...nothing. The unit is dead. What could be the problem?

We have the same brand. Ours started smoking after the zapping and tried to start a fire. It was the transformer that blew up.

We have model FR185B-CON in our camper, when try to use the oven it makes a loud banging noise. Micowave works fine.

Check the air flow it's probably dirty clogged, don't use it till you find the problem, cuz it could over heat and catch it self on fire. Check the rotating plate inside, skipped gears maybe. Good luck

Rest all works, but not heating micowave xl1800

When the microwave does not heat the food, it means that the magnetron circuit has failed. It the part that generates the microwaves that heat the food. Often the part fails by shorting out causing a loud buzzing sound when you try to microwave something. The replacement part usually costs almost as much as a new oven, so it rarely cost effective to replace. Sorry.

Microwave doesn't heat

check your door safety interlock switches ...

switch burned = no circuit

no circuit = door open (as far as the oven is concerned)

door open = no magnatron action

no magnatron action = no heat

Of course it could be something else ... but if it is the switch, you can easy fix that.

Micowave is not heating up, and is making a

It may be a shorted diode in the HV power supply for the magnetron. Open the case to get to the part. Unplug the machine before opening anything. This is normally a high voltage area when running.

Goldstar microwave

Open the cover and look for a fuse. If it's not blown then the power tube (klystron?) is probably fried.
