SOURCE: Data Storage

Make sure you are storing them in both places. I have a hunch that even though you are storing them in the my documents folder it is the one on the external drive that is storing them & when you are trying to delete the computer is reading them as stored to the external & is deleting from there. Hope this helps & please remember to rate my answer. Thanks.

SOURCE: Using hard drive on a Mac

Have you accessed it in the disk utility? ( applications-utilities-disk utility) try running repair disk first (select the drive first though) then repair permissions (on both the external and main drive)

SOURCE: I need to recover deleted pics

I have had success with this... Download Asoftech Photo Recovery program
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/

You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.

I have a 250gb G-Drive with 10.4 iMac and have transfer photos from iPhoto Library to the G- Drive to give more room in the library. Now I am trying to delete the photos still in the iPhoto Library that...

Hi,

1. Drag or export the photos to another device and delete the originals out of I photo. The problem with this is that you will no longer be able to revert those images to your originals. Using the export function for this gives you more options than drag and drop.

2. Hold down the option key when you open I photo will allow you to create a new I photo library on an external drive hooked to a USB. This means you have all the options of I photo, while storing the images somewhere else.

3. Copy and paste your entire existing I photo library to an external USB drive, then delete as much of your old library as you wish which could be all of it. Do this from your pictures folder on your hard drive, not I photo itself. This option allows your photos elsewhere while preserving all the I photo functions including your ability to revert to original.

Let us know if you want something else please accept the solution.

Deleted family pics from Iphone without backing them up... Any way to recover pics?

Unfortunately, there is no such a thing like trash bin on your iPhone so that you can restore your deleted pictures.

However, there is such an iPhone photo recovery software that can help you recover deleted pictures from iPhone 5, 4s, 4 and 3gs. I used Tenorshare iTunes Data Recovery. It worked.

You can give it a shot! You can download it from http://www.any-data-recovery.com/product/itunes-data-recovery.htm

Transferring pics from ipod video, 30gb back to laptop

I don't think that is possible. Its a one way thing where you can only put pictures from your computer into the IPod.

If it does work, click on your Ipod in Itunes and go to the pictures folder and see if it will let you drag and drop them.

If it does then it work but ITunes doesn't work that way under normal situations.

Picture Transfer issues

Delete the pics off your memory card.

Transferring them to a CD is only copying them, not deleting them off the card, so at this stage, the card is still full.

If you have a card reader, insert the card and format it.

This will delete everything on the card, making it ready for use again.

If not, follow the directctions for your camera to delete/re-format a card in the camera.

Hope this helps,
