Dropped phone in liquid. Now it vibrates constantly, even when turned off. Can I fix it?

Sounds like your motherboard is damaged. If you dropped this phone, it can cause issues with the motherboard. Time to get another phone.

Take out the battery and put the phone in some rice. It should help completely dry your phone out.

i have sonny ericsson w760a, my problem is why is it the phone is vibrating only if u turn on the phone.. but nothing on the screen..only nothing,,as in nothing.. but still vibrating only .. again and again T_T on off, on off automaticaly and vibrate with nothing on the scree,.. help please

hi, common problem with n70 white screen, i suggest you take it to a service centre, because it could be 1 of 2 problems, either the lcd is faulty, or, on the main board, there are 2 crystals that control the lcd, they need to be changed, but will be cheaper maybe just to buy a new phone,

as for the 1100, if it doesnt turn on and constantly vibrates, i have a feeling that the phone has liquid damage, and is shorting out.

any water or liquid exposure on the phone will damage it's mother board. It needs to be fixed and needs a replacement on other parts on it, there is no assurance that it can still be fixed.

you can open the pone and try to use a hair dryer to dry out the phone, but I don't think that is going help.

These phones are terrible, they cant withstand anything, i dropped my phone and the keyboard stopped working. I have the same problem with the vibrate, the whole phone sounds like it is chattering. You would have to bring it to a service center and see if they can tighten it, if not you have to get a new one

the ******** contacts on the board are short .... you will have to either give away the ******** or wait till i find a solution for it which will be soon

there is no option in your phone to disable or prevent the phone from vibrating, so you will have to do a clear storage....to do this, go into start, accessories, clear storage. enter 1234 and select YES.
