many universal remotes can operate many brands and models of tv but not all will have all codes.
So your best bet is to get the exact brand / model of TV set then from your browser:

It needs to be Re-Paired to the TV.

First, fresh batteries, and clean battery contacts if needed.

Then, Try Pairing procedure:

1. TV off
2. Bring remote within 3 feet of TV
3. Push Pairing button (Paper Clip or other pointed object in button hole)
4. Turn on TV
5. Should be paired. Try remote channel or other buttons.
6. If not, try 2 more times.
7. If still not working, push RESET button first and repeat Pairing.

Samsung remotes for LED / LCD TVs are generally RF, not IR.
Most Universal remotes do not generate RF signals, so disregard advice about codes for Universals.

There are "SMART" Universal Remotes out there that can be set to Learn the signal from the original remote when you point it at the new one and hit the button you want it to learn.

try out this.mash and hold the set up button.when the indacator light bilnks ,press the item in which you want coded.turn that item on by hand,point to it with remote and mash the power button up to 300 times until the item turns off.then hit enter.do not go to to fast,if you over shoot the code you will have to start all over again.let me know if this works for you. halfbreed76. e-mail mckenithfamily @net zero.com
