Check that the designs are not in a folder on the disk. Your sewing machine may need to open that folder before the designs can be found.

Also, check to make sure the OS software on your computer is compatible with your sewing machine. Some sewing machines use Windows 7 or even earlier versions, whereas most new computers now have Windows 8 or 10.

Can a Janome 300e take memory cards from 8000 model? Thank you.

No, the designs on a memory card for the Memory Craft 300e do not work in the MC8000, or vice versa. The designs on memory cards for the MC9500 will work in the MC300e. See http://janome.com/en/learn/software-lessons/transferring-designs/compact-flash-card-mc9700-mc9500-and-mc300e/ for some information. The physical cards appear to be the same. If you have extra space on an existing card, you could put another file onto the card with the appropriate format for the other machine.

The MC300e reads a .JEF file; the older MC8000 reads the .SEW file.

I hope this helps.

Where can I get memory cards for my Janome 9000

I own the MC9000. I bought the Magic Box plus and I download designs from embroidery websites and transfer them to the memory card (ATA PC card) that came with the Magic Box. It is rewritable so I just switch out designs as I please. I bought the Magic Box about 5 years ago and paid $200 for it. It is super easy to use. I hope this helps.

I have purchased a Janome 9700 embroidery machine and it came with a disc of designs (jef format) . I have downloaded the designs on to the memory card and can view them via the computer but they do not...

Since you are able to view them from the ATA (Compact Flash) card on your computer and the designs are in *.jef format you should be able open them on your machine. Make sure you have selected to view designs from the ATA memory card and not the ones stored on the machine or from the External Card Reader box.
There is an additional program called Customizer that you can import designs, edit, and transfer them to your ATA card. Mine was part of my package deal when I purchased by 9700.

How do I resolve the hoop size, on my 300E for large designs to use with my giga hoop

Page 39 of your manual makes no refeference to the gigahoop, only "A" and "B" The original software for the 300e was developed before the gigahoop came along, so it is probably just a simple matter of upgrading.scroll down this page.... JANOME Update Link
You may also like to check with the Janome Dealer where you bought the machine whether they would update for you.

Transfer designs to my blank memory card

You need a a Reader/Writer box with a blank Janome memory card (PCMCIA) and Cusomizer software. With that you can move your downloaded .sew designs into Customizer and on to the card via the Reader/Writer box provied that they are within the allowable size constraints.

Downloading embroidary designs for the Janome MC 350E

Firstly, format your compact flash card on your embroidery machine. This is presuming you have embroidery files in your jef format your machine reads on your computer. Place your compact flash in the compact flash card reader writer connected to your computer, open the compact flash card in your computer, open the file emb5. Now you can simply copy and paste a design from your computer to your flash card. It works for me. Goodluck.

Usb drivers

If you have theoriginal disk for the software you can load the drivers to your computer. Just insert the disc, close in the install pop up and find the CD/ DVD player in your "My Computer" area. Select the CD/DVD playr, right click on it and choose explore. You should find a folder called drivers, choose the txt files and install them. Alternatively visit the Janome global site, downloads and download the update for your software, install it and it will replace all the drivers automaticaly for you.
