SOURCE: i have a waring

Hi I am Steve, lets get you some help.
I assume this is the retaining collar on the blender that you twist to release the top assembly rather than anything else.
It could just be out of alignment and gently shaking the bowl whilst applying a pressure to the collar may clear whatever is causing the jam.

Why won't my ninja blender turn on? The red light is blinking, but power is connected and lid is secure.

try rotating the container part 1/4 of a turn to line up slots and press down . then if it does not blend turn another 1/4 turn to line up slots and press down pushing container into base motor unit .
container and screw on blade lid is put in upside down and the plastic posts have to match the base unit to turn on the blender when you press down on container into base unit.

I own and use a ninja blender !.

Single serve ninja cup stuck in base

IF YOU ARE ALREADY STUCK: Find the tiny detention/release "button" in the grove at the back near the top of the base unit. Use a butter knife or the back of a sharp one to slide the button DOWN toward the counter (not in toward the blender blades).

TO PREVENT THE PROBLEM: Look at the 4 locking tabs on the single serve cup. They are rectangular with the lower right corner HEAVILY beveled (when viewed broadside). The solution to the problem is to LIGHTLY bevel the upper left corner too. I used a pocket knife to shave just a little bit off at 45 degrees. Proceed carefully one tab at a time testing it in the rear slot. Shave just enough to get an easy release. Shave all 4 tabs on the cup so it doesn't matter which one is inserted in the rear groove.

Unable to fit. Cup into base of rocket blender

I had this exact same problem and was scratching my head why would that happen all of a sudden. After taking it completely apart (which I didn't need to), I realized in the end that the cup rim was stuck at the bottom of the blender base. It looked like a part of the base what got me confused the first place. The base of the blender is flat with no ridges around; check if this is the same problem with yours.
