Question about Xerox Phaser 6250DP Laser Printer

1 Answer

Has high-pitched whine and has displayed all 4 misfeed errors

My problem started with a "misfeed at fuser" message. then transfer roller, and now at whichever paper tray I try to use (tray 1 is bypass tray, tray 2 is regular tray). After I cleaned all the rollers with a slightly damp cloth, the printer started to emit a high-pitched whine on start up. I still get the misfeed at paper tray message too. What do you think it is?

We've got the same problem Xerox 6250. Prior to pulling paper up to print, the initial "high pitched" whine tells us that it is going to "jam". Paper pulls up through machine and then stops. Clear the misfeed a few times and the printer runs fine again. Some days are worse than others, and if it is a mechanical problem, it is very intermittent, more prevolant when the printer has been down a while (overnight), but still random when it happens. This has only been a problem when feeding out of tray 2. Please Help!

No paper misfeed at ADF level but a misfeed message still displayed on my Bizhub c450

Well then check the paper draws and bypass tray. have the rollers in the draws replaced or clean. Select a different tray to use.

Paper misfeeds after printing only one page

I can think of several solutions. None of them are too priceprohibitive.
The cheapest solution is to check your paper tray and make sure the setting are set for the correct paper size. Also make sure these settings are locked.
You can also try tro visually check and make sure there is no paper debris in the paper path. A pick Up roller kit can be purchased rather inexpensivley sounds like the roller from your tray 1 is not pulling correctly.
Alternativeley try programing the printer to pull from tray 2 or the bypass tray if you have that option.

Any time i try to print with my sharp ar-m205, it automatically reselect bypass tray and give error Check bypass tray: out of paper or misfeed. But the original tray i selected is tray 1 and there is paper...

Make absolutely certain the correct size is specified for the paper in your tray, otherwise your print driver may be locked on selecting from the bypass tray and not set to 'auto select'

The printer keeps having a misfee o the side where it opens to where you see the paper misfeeds

Rollers need to be cleaned use one of the regular paper draws instead. What type of media are you trying to run through the bypass tray media=paper

My copier ( Sharp AR 201 ) , causes misfeed every time I try to make a copy. I have tried all the trays , including bypass tray. But it didn't work. I guess it gets jammed when it goes up to the fusing...

If the rollers are old and dry they can cause a misfeed.
When they are dry; paper is less likely to be pulled into position for printing. If a feed roller is slick on one edge, the apposing side may direct the paper on an angle (somewhat sideways) and a crooked alignment results in paper being caught up in the gears, wrapped around rollers, torn in pieces, etc. Check the roller surfaces.

hp printers typically do not have an error message to cover every known condition, thus if the printer needs maintenance in an undefined area, it will invariably indicate a paper jam. The printer usually responds to the installation of a maintenance kit which will include transfer roller, pickup rollers, and fuser.
