I have a RCA Projection screen TV Mod#P52754AT Ser#643580021. Will not power on with or without remote. Minor trouble shooting performed. Pls any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Ken

First thing I would verify is that power is being sent to the TV.
Check circuit breakers ect.
If you have a multi-meter verify there is AC voltage at the outlet the TV is plugged into.

If you do have voltage the next step is to verify the power supply / HV spliter is sending voltage.
Below is quick video on how to do that.
If components are bad, replace or repair them.
If it is good your problem requires more complex troubleshooting and a circuit diagram.

Be sure to check the output transistor. This is the most likely the cause. It is by the flyback, on a heatsink.

17 year old 36" philips smart plus tv no picture no sound makes s heartbeat sound then just quits shoul i trash it

Check and replace damaged component/s at its horizontal scan output section circuit. Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor. Check the input voltage to LOT. If the voltage is absent check the feeder resistor; if any. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

I have a sony ericsson charger mod:cst-13 ,i changed 13001 transistor but i have no output in the out put trans & voltage on the collector of transistor is equall to 295V with 220Vac input

This is not that easy. That little charger has an optical coupler and zener diodes for regulation. The whole thing sells for about six dollars.

My tv model 60P8341A philips television screen is red and dull in color what do i need to do?

Hello
If your TV screen looks more red its red video output section is in trouble. Some philips circuts uses transistors while others uses ICs in that section. Philips magnavox model have both types. We here in India, have transistorised video output stages in Philips Magnavox sets. Whatever the ciruit type may be, the fault and its remedy is same.
Check whether your set has transistors or ICs used. If transistors are used, check the collector voltage at red video output transistor. If ICs are used, some sets uses a single IC for Red, Green and Blue output stages. Some of them have three ICs on board as Red,Green and blue output stages.
The video output stages are integrated on the base card of your TV. That is, a small square or rectangular board, pluged into the neck of the picture tube. You just find out the red, green and blue output transistors, or ics whichever may be used. It is ver easy to understand the video output transistors. They may be a little larger than other transistors.
An easy way is to locate the Red,Green and blue cathodes of the picture tube base board points. Check the voltage of the three of them They must be almost equal to each other, provided a little, that is, 2 or 3VDC difference is allowable and will be. In your case, the voltage at the red cathode may be , not may be, must be low. As cathode voltage lowers, emmision of that cathode will rise, and poise that colour is in excess. If the Red Cathode voltage in your TV is found low, say difference betwwen other two cathodes is 50v or so, repace the red output transistor or the Ic if used at that stage. If a single Ic is used in your TV as R_G_B outputs, replce the same. If three Ics are there, replace the red output control Ic. ok
If you have any more problems, inform fixya. They will send me alerts.
Thank you

This the problem with my LG TV.When switched on the red light lights for 2 seconds then it goes off that is to say even the screen does not come on. so what could have blown up or burnt though i have tried...

first check dc voltages of smps output, that is 110v,18v,12v and5v,.If it is all right then check horizontal output transistor collector voltage(180dc) and basc voltages (1.5dc).if it is all correct ,then check osc .if it is also correct please check LOT AND vertical ic . brepklace ment methode.
Thanking you

Amp turns on just fine but no sound comes out

Amp Failure:
There are many different ways that an amp can fail but the two most common failures are shorted output transistors and blown power supply transistors (< those are not blown). There are several types of protection circuits in amplifiers. The most common are over-current and thermal. The over-current protection is supposed to protect the output transistors. Sometimes it doesn't work well enough to prevent the failure of the output transistors but it will work well enough to shut the supply down before the power supply FETs are destroyed. If the amp remains in protect mode, goes into protect mode or blows the fuse as soon as the remote voltage is applied, shorted output transistors are almost certainly the cause. If the fuse protecting the amp is too large, if the protection circuit doesn't respond quickly enough or if the power supply is poorly designed, the power supply transistors may fail. If you see a lot of black soot on the power supply transistors (near the power transformer), the power supply transistors have failed. Soot on the board doesn't necessarily mean the transistors have failed. Sometimes, technicians don't clean up the mess from a previous failure. Transistor Failure/Checking Transistors:
In general, when a transistor fails, it will either short (common for output AND power supply transistors) or open (common for power supply transistors). Transistors act like valves. They control the current flowing through a circuit. A shorted transistor acts like a valve that's stuck open (passing too much current). In the case of an output transistor, the shorted transistors tries to deliver the full rail voltage to the speaker output terminal. If you've ever seen a damaged amp that pushed or pulled the speaker cone to its limits when the amp powered up (common on some Rockford amplifiers), that was almost certainly due to a shorted output transistor. When checking transistors, you most commonly look for shorted connections inside the transistor. You do this by using a multimeter to look for low resistance connections between the transistor's terminals.

Seems as you have blown an output. Seek repairs.
