Problem with the time keeping unit. You will need to reset the unit. Unplug it for 30 minutes then plug it back in. If that does not work then check for bad ground wires that are not fully grounded on the unit. If you find a problem and need to order the part you can order it at

SOURCE: kitchenaid kgrs807 problem breaker trips in broil cycle

it sounds like it is drawing more power than it should.check the amperage rating on the data plate. it should be on back of range (about 55 amps),then check breaker amperage.if breaker is larger( 55 or bigger), you need to check wire gauge,It should be #8agw min. #6agw would be better #8agw has a max rating of 55amps.If thw wire is 20 years old or more it is rated at 50 amps thing anything else call me 831 235 7291

Kitchenaid oven won't turn on

FOLLOW the OWNERS instructions to TROUBLE-SHOOT (EG remove the door, clean it & replace it properly, etc.). On my model... check the center top for a simple switch lever... than gets pushed straight in when the door is PROPERLY CLOSED...
(light should go OUT).

ELSE your door switch "thinks" your door is open =

Kitchen aid gas range KGRS807, 901 or 907

The only time that the oven door should be locked is during the internal "Self Cleaning Cycle," due to the high temperatures used. Make sure that the display does not indicate that the oven is not in it's self-cleaning cycle, and try wiggling the door slightly to see if you can dislodge the sticking lock pin.

My kitchenaid works fine however I have hit something and when I press the bake button it shows 180 degrees instead of 350 all of a sudden. How do I reset it? I tried shutting off the breaker but that...

you neglected to mention the model this is , but most of the ovens made by them , when switched to bake , 1st show the temp you adjust then after thrirty seconds or so show the actual temp of oven (this number will change) the set temp function can be adjusted to anything in the ovens heat range 100-450) using the arrow keys anytime in the bake cycle , just touching a arrow key will change display to set temp screen , from actual temp display

I have a two ear old Kitchenaid gas range (KGRS807). It all at once stopped lighting the oven. The top burners still work fine. When you do anything in the oven (Bake , Broil, Convection) the electric...

You will need a new igniter module. The igniter module is told to spark by the control panel. There is also a flame detection for electronic start and that could be bad too.

Display showing F2E1

HI. This code will appear if the key pad becomes unstable. This may be a loose cable, or faulty control board. Use the procedure to isolate the issue.

1. Check The keypad connector, which will be located on the backside of the control board, for a firm connection. Pull off the connector, and re-attach. If the code comes back, after the re-attaching method, move on to the next step.

2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models may incorporate the keypad and control board as one unit. In this case, replace the control board (also referred to as the ERC or clock).

My Kitchenaid KERC506HBS stopped working, displayed E1-F5 and oven door is locked and won't open. Started smoking so we shut it off at the breaker.

The E1- F5 error is a door lock error.

The control (TIMER) has likely failed in this instance - BUT...

Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused.
You should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps.

If it doesn't cure the E1- F5 error hold the bake button in until E0- F2 appears in the display.
This is the error for a stuck button on the keypad and is the way to clear the memory of the electronic range control.

Sometimes these work, but if the control has failed it won't make any difference.
