I have a indesit w123 and when i put it on it starts to fill up and then the dial keeps going round, can you help please...

try and clear prog memory .what to do is set prog knob to an off position where the black spot is then switch on machine the red light will flash quickly then slow down. when it does switch machine off then select program and switch on and it should be ok.if not it could well be a main fault on pcb .indesit boards are not very good .hope this helps.

hello try restting it before you bin it

Turn the washing machine off with the on off button.
Turn the selector knob to a dot, or any off position
Turn the washing machine back on and watch for rapid flashing on the neon light
Turn the washing machine off and select the new program (or maybe spin)
Turn it back on and the new program should start

NOTE: Resetting the timer selector knob as shown above may stop the clicking round, but if your washing machine has a fault, the clicking round may return when your washing machine encounters the fault again. If your washing machine's program selector knob is clicking round on its own, then read the section above Washing machine stops with lights flashing hope it helps

Knob keeps on rotating but it doesn't follow the program.it keeps on moving and jumping into another number.

So the timer Knob keeps on rotating click click ........forever.Do you have a red light flashing a number of times then light stops for 3 secs or so then flashes the same number of flashes again before it stops again for 3secs=a fault code.count the number of flashes very carefully.Usually,the pump is jammed or blocked but can be whole load of other things depending on the number of flashes!

What does it mean when the selector knob on washer keeps on turning when you have a wash in and also it does not spin i have to put it on drain to take clothes out

try selecting wash programme before switching power on to machine, as often with indeset if you move timer while on this will happen

It has a reset prog..Put to stop select DOT on dial put on let it flash several times then reselect prog..Good luck

Sounds like you have faulty control module, which is quite expensive to replace.
Also the E.P.R.O.M would have to be replaced as well.
Probably cheaper to buy new washer.

One of the main problems with Indesit front loaders ( apart from replacing the door interlock switch) is

If the door will not close and click in the lock, then take the door off with a tork screwdriver and take the screws of the inner plastic off the door (make sure you do this on a flat surface) and gently prize off the inner plasic by running round a flat head screwdriver..
Once you have taken off the door and glass bowel - check out the door catch to see if a metal rod has come out of its housing holding the catch and spring in place and refit or replace.
I have come across many door catches like this.

Indesit WI 121 washing machine

If this is a front loader it could be the up/down motion causing machine to vibrate against the floor. You can pick up some cushion pads for front load washer and dryers at the dealers to go under the four corners of the machines.

if the drum rotates at any point and it empties with the pump at any point then check the heater element, its a common fault on these machines

The knob keeps turning when you have a problem with the machine the most common problem with indesit is the pump. check to see if there is any thing in the filter compartmet located at the bottom on the front of the machine if so clean and replace.. THEN you will have to reset the knob. you do tis by turning the dial to one of the off position (the big black dot ). Then leave the door open and keep switching the machine on and off quickly from the button on the front of the machine untill you c the lights flicker rappidly.. once this happens the machine is reset and ready to wash ... p.s The pump can be one source for a problem... others include brushes on motor.....but most likely it will be the pump tell tell signs are water in the drum
