Mac's a bit differant than windows. To change your screen resolution first change the monitors refresh rate to something like 75 hertz. Than you can change the Screen resolution. Thats how it is done on a windows machine. Than again your Mac might need a video card software update.

Make sure your drivers for the video card are installed or installed correctly.
Goto your video cards website and download the latest version from there. The drivers installed by Windows are more a generic version, and extremely trimmed down.

SOURCE: Laptop stuck at 800x600

Odd problem. To solve, best bet is too reboot computer, press F2 to enter system settings. Go to visual performance and set a terminal networked computer default. May reset all other setting as well though.

If your netbook has an external VGA port (blue 9-pin connector) you may use the integrated dual display/extended/or external features of your netbook using the necVT460 VGA port. The resolution max supported is 800x600, so make sure you setup ur display at this resolution before attempting to extend the video signal.

My MSI U180 netbook resolution changed to 1024x768 after update and I cant see the lower part of my screen including taskbar. How can i revert to the original resolution ie.1024x600?

You do not say if you have tried to change the resolution yourself or what your OS is.
You can usually get to the resolution options by right clicking on a space on the desktop.
I have Windows 10 and right click > Display Settings and Resolution is right there.
You may have to Google for Earlier OS

Note sure if you have the steps to manually change your display settings in Windows 7 but the link below will help you do this.

After checking these steps and you still have trouble look to see if Sony has a Vista 32 bit driver for your computer because in most cases the Vista drivers will work with Windows 7.

I think you mean 800X600 to 1024X768 or higher..
The reason why you cannot increase the resolution and the bit color to higher than 8 or 16 bit color is because the incorrect video driver was installed.
Download and install the correct video driver for your model laptop.

go to your start menu - control panel- display - settings then adjust the pixells to 800x600 then apply

then check if it will continue installing

Screeen Resolution too low

600x800 for printer.
go to control panel display properties settings tab
click on advanced. click on monitor tab and uncheck hide monitors
uncheck hide modes
click ok. change resolution to 800x600.

Sounds like your screen resolution it way to low. Right click on an empty spot on the desktop and go to properties in the drop down menu. Then select the settings tab and raise your resolution to at least 800x600 32bit. 1024x768 32bit may be better. Good Luck
