The bearings are dirty so heating up and waking the voice alert. Take out the brush and scrub the part it sits in. It'll be packed with something nasty. Rouge fishing .inexpensive wrapped in there will burn away the plastic seating. Keep your equipment clean and it will perform and last much longer

My neato signature xv says the brush is stuck. I have removed the ends and and there is nothing in the brush. The brush moves freely in the housing. It has been repaired twice for the same problem

Have you checked the belt to see if there is any damage, or if it has come loose? There is diagnostic software created by a Neato user that is available for download at robotreviews [dot] com - in the Neato forum. With this software (which runs on a PC while connected to the Neato via USB cable) you may be able to find the root cause.

My Neato XV-12 runs for only a few seconds and stop. The message says, please dust me off I cant see. I have dust and cleaned my neato and it still says the same thing. How do I fix this problem?

Hi Guys
I've fully dismantled my Neato XV-21 to locate the source of the "can't see" problem. (And also replaced a tight wheel Motor causing a "something is caught in my right wheel" message)
There several screws underneath the Neato XV-21 that must be undone to allow the top to be separated. A bit of a pain just to get into the visual sensor area. But not too hard with an electric screwdriver.
There is a Laser device & a Photo sensor mounted to a black plastic rotating wheel which is covered by a black cap with 2 holes in it. One hole for laser beam to exit & one to pick up return laser light return data. They are both rotated by a motor & pulley via a rubber "o" ring which could slip, break or get hairs caught in it.
These could be the source of problems. Once mine was cleaned & checked I had no more problems. Then the wheel motor got tight. Replacing the motor fixed the problem. This requires hoping the Motor Gear Box assembly out by poping the pivot shaft out of it's plastic holder. Then disconnect the spring & cable connector. But you bust be prepared to carefully remove the magnet off the motor shaft (vice & 2 flat blade screw drivers) then unsolder the small PCB at 2 points. With practice (twice) I can now replace a motor in 20-30 minutes.
Hope this Helps some Neato Users out there
Cheers
Trevor

My neato is showing a message :my vision was blocked. please press ok (3000). How do I fix this?

Dust off your drop sensors. Using a cotton swab, clean the two drop
sensor windows on the bottom of your Neato Vacuum. Power cycle the unit, removing the batteries if necessary. You should be good to go.

Neato robot turns on, fires up vacuum/brushes, but won't move - no error messages. What gives?

I have a Neahis to Botvac 85, had also problem, it started up then stopped. It is 2 or 3 years old, don't remember. but it started to ack very strange with the battery. then this start/stop problem came. I ordered a new originial battery and thought it should solve the problem but no it didn't After some time I decided to try again. Started Neato and it stopped after some time, then I wanted to see if the lidar was rotating so I removed the blue cover over the lidar and could see that it was rotating, then I touched it little bit and the neato started and started to clean my floor. so try this.

My XV 11 Vacuum keeps on bringing up the message " My vacuum is stuck"

This message generally means that the beater/brush bar is not turning. Try rotating the beater/brush bar manually to see if it can turn freely. If not, you will need to remove the beater/brush bar and ensure that it is clean; that the orange end caps on the brush are free of hair and dirt, and that the bar housing area is free of obstructions.

Note, when I said "beater/brush", it could be either/or, depending on whether you're using the "standard" beater bar, or the upgraded pet brush.

Neato vacum powers up but immediately shuts down and flashes the "debris caught in brushes". I have taken the brush out and cleaned it but it still does the same thing.

Hi thanks for giving me the opportunity to assist yu. I know these little ones can sometimes be a real pain. I wonder at times if the "Coolness" factor is really worth it...Then I see it just doing its thing without me being there and Im like "Heck Yeah its worth it!" I know on my Zoomba unit under the brush you should find several differnt sensors. They kind of look like masking tape! Make sure they are clean. If not they will cause your unit to continuously shut down because it thinks it full!. Give it a try. Thanks.

Roomba keeps saying clean brushes yet are clean!

Make sure you take off the little cap at the end (the one that spins -- just grab it and pull it straight off) and clean under it too. The rest of the brush may look perfectly clean but what happens is that hair gets stuck under spinning cap and, like a slowly growing washer, it pushes the whole brush toward the gear box. When it gets pushed over enough, the large yellow ring starts to rub against the side of the brush deck making it harder for the motor to turn the brush and you get that "remove and clean brushes" message.
