The Genuine cord for your model is no longer available. I have replacement cords that will work but you will need to use your old connectors and strain relief or buy new ones. Cords available at thatvacguy.com.

Tehre are tabs on the bottom. Push them in the direction of the arrow (one at a time) and lift with some force on the cage thingy that partially covers the sweeper. Do the same for the other side. It doesn't matter which side you do first.

You can cut the bad section of wire out of the cord, cut the insulation on the cord to get to the wires. Match your colors, strip the insulation from the individual wires and twist together. Wrap each wire with electrical tape (making sure no wire is exposed, can be a fire hazard), then wrap the cord with electrical tape. The cord will be a little shorter, but should work fine.

I also have the same problem with my 3912-9 model. The fan is broken and I cannot find another one. I have looked all over but the ilustrated parts breakdowns that I have found only shows the motor and not the fan that is attached to the motor. All I need is the fan. Can anyone help?
