Hi and welcome to FixYa!
If you are talking about the cycle selector buttons up on the top edge of the drawer, I can help you with this. When the selector button gets wet or has moisture buildup or soap residue, it will not sense the touch from your fingertip. It is not a mechanical button per se. If you take a clean dry cloth and wipe the recessed area where your fingertip touches the button, it will respond 100% better than it will when it is dirty or just plain wet. I show my customers this practically every day.
The only other thing that will cause this is the tab behind the control panel sometimes cracks and will not hold the computer tightly against the underside of the drawer edge. This is rare though. Clean the surface of the drawer edge and it will change cycles again like new.

Depending on the specific remote, some buttons may not work with all systems. HOWEVER, in many cases the things you thing the "select button" would do, are done by the "play button" instead (IE: That's how I have to select DVD menu options with my remote).

If that is not the case with you, you can try a different programing code.

go into start, then find "launch manager" and click it and change it to what you want.. i have windows 7 so dunno if different for anything else...

Click the Start menu or the Windows Orb. This is located in the bottom-left corner of the desktop screen.

Select "Control Panel." This is located at the right menu selection of the Start menu.

Choose "Uninstall or Change Programs" under the Programs category. You will be taken to a list of all the installed programs on your computer.

Scroll down until you see "AVG Anti-virus" and right-click on it. A menu will appear that will let you choose either "Uninstall" or "Change."

Select "Change." An AVG window will appear with some options for you to select.

Programming the cn101a timer

CN101A programmable weekly digital timer
Buttons
C = Master Clear, erases all program settings and current day/time.
C/R = Control/Reset, used to access programming mode and to clear individual programs.
You must press and hold this button for approximately 4 seconds to enter programming mode if there is a lower case "a" to the left of the time display. The system will revert back to active mode (with the lower case "a" to the left of the time display) after 30 seconds with no buttons pressed.
If this button is momentarily pressed while viewing a program, that program will be erased, but ONLY the On or Off program that is being viewed will be reset. The corresponding On or Off program in that cycle will NOT be reset.
Clock = In programming mode, this button is held depressed at the same time as one of the D+, H+, or M+ buttons to set the current day and time. When editing the programs, this button is used to exit when done.
P = Program select, each press will advance through the On and Off programs (presets). There are 16 On/Off cycles available (1 On, 1 Off, 2 On, 2 Off, ... 16 On, 16 Off).
D+ = Used to change the day when setting the time, or day(s) when changing a program.
When changing a program,
the following 15 different day combinations are available using the "D+" button.
MO; TU; WE; TH; FR; SA; SU; MO/WE/FR; TU/TH/SA; SA/SU; MO/TU/WE; TH/FR/SA; MO/TU/WE/TH/FR; MO/TU/WE/TH/FR/SA; MO/TU/WE/TH/FR/SA/SU.
H+ = used to change the hours when setting the time or a program.
M+ = used to change the minutes when setting the time or a program.
Manual = This button will cycle the output relay from AUTO to Manual OFF, back to AUTO, then to Manual ON, and finally back to AUTO. Programming mode must first be accessed using the C/R button to use the Manual feature. The manual On or Off settings will override all programs until switched back to AUTO.
There is a Lithium Ion battery which is intended to keep the clock going for up to 3 years during loss of external power, but the output relay will not work on internal battery power.

How do i change programed number

Hello Ms Nelling,

You can change the programmed numbers by simply programming new numbers on the saved position.
Press the MENU/SET button and select FAX \ Setup Quick Dial and then choose whether you want to program a speed dial or a one touch button.
If you had previously programmed a 1 touch on button 3, just select that 1-touch and it will ask you if you wish to change the current settings.

Try the following:

Method 1: Change File Type Association Directly from the File Properties

1.Right click on a file with the type or extension that want to change its associated application program.
2.Select Properties on right click context menu.
3.In the General tab, click on Change button.
4.An Open With window will appear. Choose a program to open the kind of file from the list of programs available. By default, Recommended Programs is automatically expanded. However, there is more detected programs in the section of Other Programs, which can be expanded to select by clicking on Down Arrow at the end of the separator line.
If the program that want to used as the default program does not found, click Browse to select an executable file manually.
5.Click OK button.

Method 2: Change File Type Association Directly On The Fly

Note that this method works if only several programs have been used to open and run a kind of file type extension previously.

Then press the front left hand power switch on and the select program and finally press the large right hand start switch.If you wish to change or reset a program hold the previouly selected program button in for 10 secs and the reselect your program choice and hit sart.

Changing time

There are a few types of phone sytems that work with the kxt 7731. these instructions should handle most of them.
Changing the time on a Panasonic KX-TA624 system must be done from extension # 101 using a display phone. All others can use any display set. 1.-
Press the "PROGRAM" button on the face of the phone
2.- Enter programming mode by pressing "STAR" - "POUND" - "1234" (default password = 1234)

If you can open the file from within Word (File, Open, ...) it sounds like you need to Set the Vista File Association:

1. Click the Start button.
2. Select Control Panel.
3. Select Programs.
4. Under Default Programs, select Make a file type always open in a specific program.
The Set Associations window will appear, allowing you to change what program a file type is associated with by selecting the file type and clicking the Change program button.
5. Since you are only looking to change a single file type (.DOC) right-click the ".doc" line - Microsoft Office Word - and select Properties. Under the General tab, click the Change button to select Microsoft Word program.
