Question about The Computers & Internet

Open Question

I am traveling away from my residence. I received an e mail from TSA approving my TSA. If there is a card connected with this TSA it is with my mail at home. Is it enough to quote the KTN number?

Our suitcase is locked, and we forgot the combination. how can we reset the combination for our TSA approved luggage?

resetting the combination is only practical if the suitcase is open as the reset tab is located inside where it cannot be tampered with when locked.
if it is a set of dials lock a locksmith could help you.

URGENT!! Please help!! We are locked out of our Victorinox mobilized NTX hard side extra large wheeled travel bag. Need to figure out how to re-set the lock on it.

Simple, just have airport security open it up for you. Which they will do with normal identification. The lock as a universal security by pass.

TSA locked our TSA002 lock on our samsonite bag when they inspected it. We do not have a key. TSA said we needed to go back to the airport, but is there a way to get a key?

No. That's part of the whole purpose of TSA passkeys; they're held securely and only at ports. If it were easy for anyone else to get hold of them the locks which are TSA approved would become pointless.

You only have three options if you do not want to return to the airport:-

1. Get a locksmith;

2. Cut the lock off/drill it out;

3. If your lock is usually key operated (not a combination) then there will be a number next to the lock barrel (not the TSA number, that just tells the TSA which of their passkeys to use). A Samsonite dealer can order the correct key for you using the number and some even keep them in stock.
