My LG flip phone volume is all the way up. I've tried star key pound key volume keys even tried it during playing sounds and no luck. It has keypad volume but no ringtone or sound volume whatsoever. I've reset my phone and also dialed *228 but no luck yet. Any ideas?

SOURCE: no sound when phone rings

I called Verizon Wireless and the said, if you go to “My Sounds” or “My Ringtones” select the song that you want to hear and press the play button. While the ringtone is playing press the button on the side of the phone to raise the volume…you should be able to hear the ringtone. Hope this helps!

Is there an 'M' on the display? If so, that means it is in 'meeting mode.' All you have to do is press and hold the star key (*) and that will take care of it.

Why wont my Lg 4G phone ring

Hey Tony,
Go to Apps then Settings then Sound.
Make sure that the Sound Profile is on Sound (not on vibrate only or on silent) and then go to Volumes and adjust ring volume to your desired settings. Case closed.

Check a ringer volume and profile. Press a volume key to see the volume status bar at the top of the screen. Use the volume up and volume down keys to adjust the loudness of the ringer (scale 0 to 30). Tap on the text next to the ringer icon to change the profile (vibrate only, ring+vibrate).
Check if the issue is with a specific ringtone: Go to Settings > ringtones+sounds > Ringtone, and tap on a playbutton to preview the ringtone.
Switch off the ringer vibration (Settings > ringtones+sound > vibrate) temporary, to determine if your phone is affected by any motion settings i.e. Flip-to-Silence.
Make sure that call forwarding is not switched on: Tap the phone icon > ... > Settings.

If the problem persists, restart your phone by pressing and holding the power and volume down keys simultaneously until the phone vibrates. Release and the phone will restart. After this operation, you may need to re-adjust the volume and set date+time on the phone. Note that this does not remove your personal content.

Lg neon will not ring or vibrate

If you have made sure it's set to ring and/or vibrate and it's still not working, then turn off your phone and take out the battery. Put the battery back in and turn it on, then see if it works. This will probably fix the issue. If you haven't made sure it's set to ring/vibrate, you can do so by going to "Menu" > "Settings" > "Audio & Ringtones" > "Ringtone" > "Volume" and make sure the volume is up and not on silent. You can also quickly adjust this by the up and down arrow buttons on the side of your phone without having to go to the menu. I hope this helps :)

Have you got it on silent mode? Something similar happened to me with another phone. Basically, everything just vibrates or makes no sound at all. Otherwise, maybe take out the sim and reset the phone. I solved a problem with my LG phone that way, and all it did was return to factory settings. Because I have a Sim it did not upset my contacts. It was just like it was when I got it new.

Blackberries...hahah my specialty. Go to the sound section, click on Set Ring Tones/Alerts and make sure that you are on a Normal Profile. If you are, then make sure your ringer volume is not set at "vibrate"

To restore the ringer it will depend on what mode your phone is in:

Vibrate Mode:
Sets the phone to vibrate instead of ring.

To set Vibrate Mode, with the flip open, press and hold the # key .

To return to Normal Mode, press and hold the # key again.

Sounds Off Mode:
Quickly deactivate your phone's sounds when you're in a place where phone sounds would be disruptive.

From standby mode with the flip open, press and hold the lower side volume key for 3 seconds. To return
to normal sounds mode, press and hold the upper side key.

Airplane Mode:
Turning on Airplane Mode will disable all wireless communications.

1) With the flip open, press the Menu key.
2) Use the Directional Key (top center of phone) to scroll to 'Settings and Tools'.
3) Press the 6 key for Phone Settings.
4) Press the 1 key for Airplane Mode.
5) Use the Directional Key to highlight a setting, then press OK.

Yes,
What happened is you probably set it on silent and from the soft keys, you increased the ringer volume. What you want to do is go to main menu => settings => profiles, and from there make sure your ringing volume is set on lowest possible.

Yeah, I had that problem too. I thought my phone was broken. -_- My old phone from Verizon is like 4 years old and I JUST got my enV3. On my old phone, I'd have to set the alarm's ringtone to "no ring." But, on my enV3, "no ring" literally means NO ring, no vibration, no notification, no nothing. On the enV3, in order to set your alarm clock to vibration mode, all you have to do is make sure you "master volume" is in vibration mode, but you have to set your alarm's ringtone to something other than "no ring."
