You have to bleed your cooling system with the heater on until all the air is purged out of it then it should heat up quickly.

SOURCE: 2003 Kia Sedona Ex. Squeaks when brakes

Most likely, there are metal peaces on the break pad, for when the pads get wore down to a certain point they rub the rotor to let you know its time for new breaks.

SOURCE: No heat. Fan blows cold air.

I think u may have an air temperature control blend door problem, the door is moved by a small electric motor, it is stuck in the cold position.

SOURCE: 2003 Kia Sedona charging system

This is typical. When cold starting/running, it takes more amps to run. It is using amps for higher idle to warm up engine, Altenator is spinning faster, and all sensors are being used at same time.
This is why mechanics say wait til normal operating temperature before any testing is done.
Once the engine hits normal temp, the computer readjust voltage amps, fuel pressure, air intake, timing and more.

SOURCE: my kia sedona van only heats up for a minute or

Check the metal part of the heater core lines at the firewall if you can get to them and see if one side is noticeable colder than the other. At least one of them should be hot or you have a bad thermostat. If both are hot than your hot/cold actuator inside is having a problem

SOURCE: KIA SEDONA HAS REAR HEAT BUT NOT FRONT HEAT

This could be a serious problem. Check your coolant level, then check the rear heater lines that supply coolant to the rear heater. They run under the van, over time they rust and leak. Because it is under and to the rear of the van it is hard to notice, i.e. coolant puddles and smell. But please note that this engine has aluminum cylinder heads and does not take kindly to being overheated.

Kia Sedona- center and third row heating vents blowing cold air

There is a separate button on the lower dash labeled RR HTR for the rear heater. If you do not engage the switch it will blow cold air.

Rear heat quit working in 2003 Kia Sedona?

i had the same problem back in 2007 0n a 2003 Kia sedona xl found out that there ate copper tubes running from the rad to the rear heater had small pin holes in those tubes'. Had to replace the tubes but if you get it rom Kia it will be pricey. Try a auto parts shop they maybe able to help you. But also check main rad if you see any leaks or coolant on the grond may have to replace rad at same time

Problem with heater blowing cold

Replace your thermostat. first of all it is the cheapest. It is probably stuck in the closed position not allowing your coolant to flow.
