Washer dryers often have cold water valves with 3 separate solenoids. One for the main wash and rinses (which is clearly ok) and one for the condition rinse (to take the fabric conditioner down) which is probably ok too, and the 3rd one is for the dryer. It's possible this 3rd solenoid has failed.

Washer dryers need on a steady trickle of cold water running into the condenser chamber to convert the steam into water, which then gets pumped down the drain.

e10 means that there is a problem with the water supply.
a condenser dryer needs cold water to operate properly. the e10 code will appear if:
1. the water is turned off
2.the water pressure is too low.
3.the solenoid valve is open circuit
4.there is a problem with the pressure switch (least likely)

Cold valve is at the end of blue inlet pipe remove lid and you will see it.

f E10 is only appearing when trying to dry, the problem almost certainly is the condenser valve solenoid open circuit. The green solenoid on the inlet valve. Should read about 4000 ohms.

My money would be on the solenoid coil being open circuit. The coil can be canabalised from most valves although you may have to modify the connections. For simpler repairs - contact Zanussi and get the entire triple inlet water valve to swap out.

I have a Zanussi ZWD 14581 W1 Washer dryer. When you select a cycle the display just flashes. No fault code appears and the machine will not start , the dispaly just flashes. Any ideas?

A "Delayed Start" may have been programmed.

Turn the Selector to OFF, this will cancel the Delay Start
and machine will start normally .

Don't attempt to open the door if water still present or heat.
A wait of 3 minutes necessary before door will open

Try "PAUSE" and then OFF if machine is balking.

Zanussi wfd1257w giving E11 error on dry cycle. Is there a way to further diagnose the fault?

Hey Rich,
Error Code E11 means that your Washing machine has detected an overfill of water - over filling with water
  • Check drain pump for blockage or obstruction
  • Check drain hose for blockage or obstruction
  • Check drain pump
  • Check fill valve is not jammed open or leaking
  • Check electronic control module
Good Luck

I have a Zanussi Washer/Dryer Model ZWD 1270W. When I set the machine to wash (any cycle), it fills with water, the water jet starts, it takes the soap powder then it immediately skips to the 'drain'...

http://laundry.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/zanussi/zwd_1270_w_zwd_1270_s_zwd_1470_w.html
If you go to this website, they have manuals and you can ask questions also.

Just one thought. Have you unplugged the washer for a few seconds then plugged it back in? It's possible the "brain" needs to be reset.

Zanussi zwd 12270s push start one click drains a little, double click, back to start time?. have seen error code ed4 at times

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Sorry but I do not know your particular machine and I haven't ed4 in my fault code list for Zanussi BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters.
If this does not cure, you will need a service call, sorry ;-0(

Here are my complete, general pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the filter and the motor ;-0)
-------------------------------------
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!

It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

My Zanussi ZWD 1470W won't fill up with water. I

Story could be lengthly so in brief, check to see if drain pump is not blocked and if door latch is functioning correctly.(use a multimeter if you can). If it all measures out as good, then your control is faulty. Does the water fill up to the correct level when you start the cycle? Does the motor hum when trying to run. If so check the capacitor.

Error e40 come up on my washing machine zwd 1472 s

Hello,
E40 normally points to a fault at the door switch, sometimes when the door switch fault occurs it can also cause damage to the main P.C.B.(Programmer).As this machine is still in the major parts warranty it would be advisable to get in touch with Electrolux.

Hi,

Did you fix this problem? We have the same with Zanussi ZWD 1472 W. It takes some water and stops after 2 minutes. We need to shut machine down and fill water manually. It works fine then.

E10 code on a zanussi jet system washer

Is it a washer-dryer? E10 relates to a fault with the inlet valve.....usually the valve itself going open circuit.

I have problem E40 on Zanussi zwd 1680 w

E40 is door interlock error, it means that either the door interlock is stuck or faulty, or the wiring from door interlock to main control board are not connected.
