SETTING UP A BROADBAND INTERNET CONNECTION First you need to decide what type of broadband andInternet service you require and these are - 1. DSL that uses your existing telephone line. 2. Cable that uses a cable service and can include a cable TV service. 3. A wireless 3G network which uses the mobile/cell phone network and can beseparate or combine with your cell phone account Note - Combined services generally offer discount pricing and may include amodem/wireless router.
If you use a wireless router with the DSL or Cable Internet service and yourlaptop has a wireless card then you can also connect to the Internet at WiFihot spots like McDonalds, Star Bucks, the Airport etc. If you use the wireless 3G wireless broadband service, then you can access theInternet anywhere where your ISP has 3G wireless coverage. You need to checkthe service coverage area where you need Internet service. Once you decide what type of broadband your require, then you need to checkwith the various Internet Service providers to see if they can offer and thecost of the various plans. Note the download limits and the associated additional costs if you exceed themonthly download limits. Once you sign up with a Internet Service provider, their documentation will include setting up instructions and/or installationCD.
disable wireless then enable it ... or reboot the computer reboot router aswell, in this order broadband modem reboot wireless router, then reboot the laptop it should pick up the router and connect... see if you can connect to the router with a wired connection from the laptop .... if you can try doing a driver update acer always putting out new drivers for the wireless cards
You first need to establish that you have internet available to your router via cable modem, dsl, etc. Unless your modem is also your wireless router. Take your ethernet connection or cable that resembles a large phone
cable and plug in your Acer One directly into the router. You should
then be able to get internet. If not, you may have a problem with your
internet in general and need to contact your Internet Service Provider.
Also if possible try another pc, see if it has internet. Lastly try
reinstalling wireless diver in device manager.
Youe broadband router is working ok with the broadband cable. So it is configured with the broadband cable. Now,to work with the wireless internet, you have to configured the wi-fi router to work internet. You can see the wi-fi connection but unless & untill you will configure wi-fi router it must not work or if before it was working with the wi-fi then you can check the wi-fi router setting because it might change by mistake.Surely it will work after configurating wi-fi router.
