Internal dust speck on Canon A720is in same upper right corner

I am not sure how to clean the internal sensor of a Canon Powershot A720IS. The speck most likely entered the camera or lens when recently shooting some pictures from a moving vehicle. The shape and clarity of the dust speck changes as I zoom. When I use the digital zoom, the dust speck diagonally zooms off to the upper right hand corner of the frame and ultimately disappears at extreme digital zoom range. I tried caned photo dust off air in every opening of the camera with no luck. Anyone have an idea on how to get this cleaned out? Thanks!

If dust is in the camera, it must be opened. I suggest not doing this yourself. Lookup a Canon dealer in your region and ask for support.

My Canon A720is movie clips are badly out of focus. Is there a fix for that?

My best guess is to go to the canon web site, support/download pages and see if there's a firmware upgrade for your camera.

I have a Canon PowerShot A720is and the card has locked on me. How do I unlock it?

Hello. You will find a very small slide switch on the upper left edge of the card. They seem to be quite delicate the less you use it the better.

Each time I power the camera on to take photos I need to reset the time and date. Is there an internal battery that is malfunctioning? Any other ideas that may be causing this? Thanks

Yes,more than likely there is a little button cell battery that powers the date and time. You'll have to look in your manual to find its location.I just discovered my battery is dead.Yep i checked the manual even tho i already knew where to find it.Took some reading to find but it was there in the manal. Its located in the battery compartment on my canon A720IS.Mine takes a CR 1220 - 3Volt.I'm still trying to find a replacement.Guess i'll have to go to a camera store to get the battery.Couldn't find at any of the usall places.Hope this helps someone,Gary Malcontent
