It could be a number of things, would need a model number, also in what way was it not spinning properly ? and click and unplugging and not reverting back can be the main processing board stuck, that could be down to a faulty motor or motors, as the pump may be stuck. try unplugging the washer for an hour and see if it goes back to normal, they do store power just in case of a power cut so if the power comes on it will run from were it last was usually an hour will reset it.

Zanussi aquacycle 1200.After a wash has finished and i empty washing, reload again,it wont start and none of the lights come on.eventially it works ok again after a good 5-10 mins.

you have probably done no harm. try selecting spin and drain again to ensure the water has drained properly.
Machine starting on its own after 5 minutes or so is usually the door lock failing, again not caused by your actions.

Does it spin if you turn to spin cycle?
Try this:
Jam lid switch with something plastic or wood.
Put on spin cycle.
Spin the tub by hand.

If the bowl then starts spinning properly, your problem is the motor starting capacitor.

New water pump, cleaned trap, checked little vaccuum hose and it wont do final spin. No errors on panel and everything else works fine

If your washer fills to the correct level, agitates through the wash cycle, and then drains, I would check the door safety switch for proper positioning and switching operation. The switch should have minimal resistance (closed circuit) when it is depressed and high resistance (open circuit) when released.

Kenmore 80's series top loader only works on wash and rinse cycle

This is a problem with the pump being stuck so the motor cant turn the whole thing. Turn the washer on its side, underneath you can acces the pump, which is connected to the motor by two long clips. remove the pump and take out the colg that caused it to get stuck.

Washer will not spin

I fixed it yesterday. After checking the continuity of my lid switch and pressure switch and finding them ok I removed the tubing from the pressure switch and applied air (blew into it). There was a clog and blowing on it removed it for now. Apparently the pressure switch was telling the machine that the tub was full of water and wouldn't let it start the spin cycle. I ran three loads last night and it worked perfect. I may have to remove the connection on the side of the tub and clean it properly if it clogs again.
