If your unit has a spark igniter you'll hear clicking noises until the flame is lit. If it hasn't done this in the past, then its quite possible the igniter is starting to oxidize and needs to be cleaned. The best way to do this is use a light abrasive cloth to remove the oxidation, or otherwise known as soot. Sometimes, the igniter needs to be removed and as always remove power to the system before attempting any repairs.

I have a Intertherm furnace model# MGH-065-ABRN-05...The target burner needs to be replaced. I type in my model # and it isn't reconized. Is this a good number. Thank You

I don't think that is a good model #. Here is a link to their site and the furnace models there have a totally different type of #.

If you really need the burner, Id call Intertherm and then they can tell you what data plate you should be looking at.

I have a Goodman gas furnance. The furmance kicks on the glow rod lights and then the furnance shuts down after about 60 seconds it goes through the same cycle. The burners never come on. What's wrong?

Let's trouble shoot a few possibilities:

Can you confirm that your gas pressure/ supply is correct-- by lighting all of the range top burners at the same time-- Do they all light quickly, and burn to full height, without much of any yellowing at the flame tips? That should indicate you have god gas pressure and supply.

Now-- in the Oven itself-
When you light the BROIL burner-- does it's glow ignitor light up, and does that burner light off OK?

If it is only the main oven burner that is not lighting, are you able to remove the cover plate that covers it, and watch it light off? -- Any clues on whether or not the gas valve even open?

If NO gas flow, likely you need a new Main Oven Gas Valve-- Probably need to call your Gas Appliance service person.

Let us know if this helped

Gas valve is not kicking in or gas shut offs are off. Can you check voltage where 2 wires connect to gas valve. Can you see blinking lights thru lower door window and count blinks. Code sticker should be on inside of lower door.

I have a mobile home furnace Intertherm #1378. The pilot light is on, but the burner will not light. The thermostat clicks on and everything seems to be running properly, but there is no flame. Last year...

First make sure that the gas valve is in the on position. There is a spring load diaphragm that will stick when not in use over time, When the t-stat clicks on for heat tap the valve with a hammer LIGHTLY. If it doesn't come on replace the valve.

Indoor fan motor continue to run even if the thermostat is in auto position with the cool and heat switch in the off position. The furnance don't have a fan on and off switch in the furnance like most....

Try this, disconnect the fanwire (green) on the furnace, if it shuts off then the hot wire from the thermostat is touching the green wire or bad thermostat. Thank-you-very-much!
