Hi Christos. Did you ever manager to get this fixed? My DMP-UB900 is doing the same thing. It freezes during films then eventually it says F99 on the player. id give up, and buy Roku3,, and have 10x better experiences with say netflix, vudu, or hulu.
that DMP has old , apps that are not working now. (obsolete)
the Roku keeps that up to date full time and works like nothing else.
be it the box or inside the TV.
test the router first, we have gigalan to each room now in our house.
test the router. make sure you gen get to the web on all router ports. ethernet.
Then I would suggest that you contact the place that you ordered it from. Posting this here; with a Q&A board that has nothing to do with them is pretty much a waste of time. We can't help you.
F99 - NOT SUPPORTED
User selected on the UI the unsupported Cycle on the CCU. Mismatch of User Interface
and CCU or corrupted EEPROM.
Potential Causes
1. Perform Service Cycle to pair the UI and CCU SW.
2. Replace User Interface.
3. If failure still present, replace also the CCU.
NOTE:
During first power up of new CCU and UI combination, a bootphase (uploading
parameters) will be performed. This upload can be forced also by the Service
Testprogram.
Entry:
1. Plug in the machine
2. Machine switched off.
3. Press any key except power for 3 sec, release for 3 sec.
4. Repeat this procedure 3 times
During the failure history indication the upload will be done
F99 means that there is a problem with the computer in the machine not talking to the other parts of the machine. IT can be a loose connection, a broken wire, corrosion or something like that or it could be the main board is bad.
The update process was unsucessfull or wrong version software update has been done. Contact the nearest authorised service center for Panasonic at your town.
