I have a Sanyo video plus recorded the tape is stuck in it just get safe in the display when I try to eject

Knock power off then hold the eject button in as you switch power back on. This works for discs not sure about videos but its worth a try.

I dont know where the record safety tab is

It's on the back edge of any VHS video tape, it looks like a square piece of plastic which is only attached at one side. Break it off and the VCR can't record on the tape. Cover the hole with sticky tape to record again. If your looking for the tab inside the machine just see where the loaded video lands. Most video tapes with it removed will go into automatic play when there's no tab. Also the VCR will eject the tape if any attemp is made to record on a protected tape.

Unit is stuck on "safe" mode. No action can be taken from unit. I can not eject a VHS tape.

Samgung SC-D353 camcorder 'EJECT' problem

sc-d353 got wet slightly the camera part is working but good tapes display eject sign and in the middle of the screen displays the eject symbol and ...r please help

I'm getting an E04 ( error) when I try to record or play

Here is some information regarding the E04 error message from http://www.techlore.com/article/10974/JVC-Camcorder-Stuck-in-Safe-Mode/:

"JVC notes that you are also given a malfunction code when the unit is placed into safeguard. If it displays code 01, 02, or 06 you should remove
the battery and powersupply and wait for a while. Code 03 and 04 indicate that you should eject and reinsert the tape.

If neither of these solutions work, your only alternative is to bring it to a shop or send it to JVC for diagnosis or repair. Unfortunately, there is no other way to clear the condition."

This doesn't seem uncommon, and indicates a bad tape is loaded, or unfortunately, that the camcorder requires servicing.

Gray Stripes displayed when playing video

I am having the same problem with a Sony Digital 8, When I hit play I see blue screen buy when I press play and fast foward I see the same gray scan lines> Did you have a stuck tape or problems ejecting tape? I think it is more than cleaning the heads. When I try to record it indicates no tape in camera.

Gr-dvl-520u trying to record or playback tape it goes into safeguard mode within 5 seconds. alternatly pressing play and still every 3 seconds advanced the playback without it going into safeguard mod

If you are getting E03 or E04 errors on every tape you try, it sounds like a servicing is required.

try cleaning tape? maybe tape path is outta balance. try new tape?

Safe guard mode

Hi my name is Erick . Have you tried ejecting the tape??? Safe mode just means the tape is stuck or something in the mechanicism is not letting the gear works eject the tape. GOOD LUCK!!!!

Cassette stuck in video

I am a sanyo VCR technician and i will share to you what i had encountered. the problem of your VCR is in the mechanism "slide front" unable to push out the ejector portion of the tape. If you can locate this part just push it so that the tape will eject.
