Film, Battery change, value

This camera was my fathers and I am trying to figure out how to use it. It is a Minolta 16 MG - mint condition - Serial # 140554. How do I find out what film it takes and how to replace the batteries and what it might possibly be worth? I will hold on to it as a collectable, but still want to find out as much as I can about it.

Could you value an Epiphone Guitar, Model E-252, Serial No. 301836 and also date it?

I think it is a 1965. As to value, it would be worth US$3000 - $4000 depending on condition. There was one being sold for around US$5500, in mint condition.

You might want to get a professional appraisal on-line for an instrument like that one.

My Polaroid AutoFocus 660 burns all my pictures, why? (I have tried using new film, it's not the film)

Burns?? could it be that what your seeing is a "corona" (brown ,with white and orange ) if so I bet your film compartment is letting in light , this happens on vintage equipment because they used velour type material as seal on film door and other places and it drys out over time and allows light in

also is your shutter working properly ??(clik don't mean working) a mt camera with film door open shown toward light source shouldn't allow light thru , wouldn't be the first vintage shutter that ive ever heard of sticking

How to open a Vivitar 845 camera?

On the back of the camera, there are two sliders. The left hand one is the battery cover, and the other is the film back release.camera03a.jpg
Film advance is automatic when batteries are in it.

If this picture doesn't come out clearly, look at the ebay listing I copied it from ....

I have found 2 old polaroid instant cameras at my mother's house. One is a one step and the other is a spectra. They are both in mint condition--that is they look like they have never been used. Do...

Hello,

No these camera do not have batteries. The battery comes within the film packet, which I might add are quite expensive these days. If you would like some places to get film just use the comment button and I'll help you with that too.

Thanks for using Fixya.

PS. Your best bet might be to consider selling them on ebay. Some collectors out there may be interested if they are in as good a condition as you say.

NO.
this camera has been out of production for over 20 years.
Minolta quit the camera business 2 years ago.
Best bet: search Ebay and get another that needs repair. Grab the batt holder from it and keep the rest of it fer parts!!!

Minolta Maxxumm 4 - rewinding too soon

Hey Pix4me,
I would make sure that the manual rewind button on the back of the camera is not stuck in, or you're not accidentally hitting the manual rewind button. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan
