Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Screen becomes unviewable

I plugged it up, and when it turns on, the picture is fine, but after a few minutes the picture starts to distort, the picture starts to get blurry as everything on my desktop display starts to move as if it was rippling like motion in water, and then the display is not readable at all. I tried to adjust the contrast and the brightness and this does not stop the movement, or help at all.

thanks, my other monitor worked perfectly. I have an upgraded graphics card because I do graphic design. I can't tell you off hand which brand it it is because I am at work, and the computer is at home. I did talk with my I.T guru at work, and he says that my monitor because of it's age, may need a driver loaded. other than that, it just may be a bad monitor.

Frequently the left side of the monitor shows multi-colored vertical lines. Any ideas? Also, maybe I'm just a moron but I cannot find in the manual how to degauss. Help!

Sounds like a problem with the graphics card or on board video. Please state which one you have and type. The last option is a bad monitor. Try Degaussing it first on the monitors menu selections. If you use a graphics card, you can disable it and try the on board one to see if it helps. If you need further assistance, please ask. I can guide you through all the steps.

Hi I have a sony KDP-57XBR2 television set and the

I had the same problem in blue. I took the right front speaker cover off (pops off) and the access panel on the right side 2 - 4 screws. In the upper right corner is a black plastic box with 2 rows of 3 adjustment screws. All I did was turn one of the "screen" screws (not the "focus" screws). Hope this helps. May only be a temporary fix, but good luck...

Sounds like a problem in the main power regulator circuit, such as a bad capacitor or regulator IC or transisitor. There are no user serviceable parts inside these sets and every thing is soldered into place. I recomend that you call in a trained service tech to assist you with this repair.
