The main thing about upholstery is to hide the seams !! so t remove it you will need to find out how they hid the seams , sometimes theres tack strips sometime theres tacks , sometimes its just glue , what ever kind u got , you will need to find edge of seam and rediscover what type of method they used to cover seams with , then its just a matter of undoing the fastener and taking cloth off of wood , ohh and a few hints , allways replace padding too and don't be tempted to use more than what was there , theres a reason they used that amount 1st time and you wont be happy if u try to use more when u put it back together

How do you keep chair cushions from moving around in chair

What type of chair? The answer may depend on the type of chair. For dining table chairs you can add tie straps or straps with Velcro.
For upholstered chairs i use loops with D rings sewn into the back of the cushions that can be clipped to the frame of the chair.
Velcro can work as well with upholstered chairs but placement can be a problem if you are able to flip the cushions. The Velcro need to be on the back of the cushions so it's not visible.
Hope this helps!

How to repair henredon upholstered chair

This is one of two things which I am guessing that this is a dowel and glue problem. Where it is separting causing the loose feel wilh have to be pulled apart, sanded, new dowel put in , glued and clamped. If these are screwed together than you will have to expose the heads of the screws, they will be covered with wood filler and then use a wood filler in that hole afer the screw is removed and put a screw back the same pllace once dried. The screw scenario means that all the use has caused the screw to loosen its hold.

I want to build my own set of dining room chairs. Can someone recommend a good site to use with design templates?

I found you a site with designs for both standard dining room chairs and chairs with arm rests. Hope this helps you out.

How do I keep my dining room chairs from scraping my parquet floors?

You have a few options to keep you chairs form scrappingyour floor. Although not necessarily astaticallypleasing, you could put an area rug under your table and chairs. The most popular remedy is little plasticdiscs that use self-adhesive to attach to the legs of the chair. You can also get "fabric backed coaster cups"which are little bits of fabric that are attached to the legs. The other option is clear plastic mats thatthe chairs sit on top of (like for swivel chairs in offices.)
