I'm the author of the question - I fixed it by yanking out the earbuds, taking a call and reducing the volumne down from max with the earbuds unplugged. After that, I was able to adjust the phone call volume with the earbuds (JVC HAFX32A Marshmallow Earbuds) plugged in.
You didn't give much info to work with The Computer is a Medion? Model? OS? Is the wireless a PCI card? Need more info. Have you done any software /hardware changes, updates, upgrades? what does it say when you try to connect?
