It might be a faulty game pack or a broken game pack that you have got then.

SOURCE: nintendo DS not recognising R4DS CARD

Had this problem too. Solved it by cutting a small piece of thin card (cigerette box} or anything similar , and inserting it along with the r4 card to make it a tighter fit.Insert it in the back side of the r4 card, not the side with the metal contacts.hope this helps.

SOURCE: Nintendo DS Lite not reading some games

this is a problem with the pins inside could be dirty or dusty ether way you will need to get a cleaning fluid ie 100% alcohol cleaning fluid us a clean cotton bud inside the slot and use gently as not to damage pins, if the pins are heavy soiled you may need to get a fiberglass tipped pen wich is used to clean up poor contact areas on boards and other electrical circuits

hope this helps if unsure get in touch with nintendo they will prob fix it for you for free go here > http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/repair/

Cannot use the my multigame card in nintendo 3DS error pops up ,doesn't allow me to use the game need help !!! Thanks, Sharon

It could be that the software on the card is corrupt and the 3DS is not able to read it. To squeeze 366 games onto a card, the games would have to be really small files and in my experience, most game files on r4 cards are around 64MB or bigger. Plus they may not be actual 3DS games so I'm afraid you may not be able to use this card

Hi Toria,

This problem is likely because the latest Nintendo based firmware doesn't actually support old R4 and fake R4i cards, only very specific R4i cards support it (namely the official R4i 3DS). You can probably swap your R4i card for a newer card like the Acekard 2i, Supercard DSTWO, Cyclo DS iEvolution, or frankly any of a number of cards that will work on the new DSi XL and 3DS consoles. I would personally recommend the Supercard DSTWO, though, I use it myself. It also has GBA emulation built-in which is kind of awesome if you want to play older games. The Acekard 2i is cheaper, but doesn't have the GBA functionality.

I'm not sure where you're based but if you're in the US, use "dsmagazine" as a voucher (I found this on an online DS news site) for DSCardWorld.com, they're authorised retailers of the Acekard and Supercard - I think also a few others. NDS-gear.com is probably better if you live in the Europe or in the UK though since they have cheaper shipping there. They still stock authentic cards so you should be all right either way.

Good luck, and please kindly upvote my answer if you've found it useful! :-)

I just got an R4 for my 3DS. I tried three different games and they all worked. Next time I went on though I kept getting load rom errcode=-1. Please help? It used to work but now it doesn't.

first of all, if you use the r4 on the 3ds, it is going to brick it wich means it will casue it to stop working. Second of all, r4 company died out past 4 years ago. Lastly, you need a unoffical( which not the real company made) firmware, which the game with the errcode has not been patched
