SOURCE: projector says out of range

The native resolution on the 6100 is 800x600. I have had it recognize 640x480 and 1024x768 though. Check your computer to make sure the resolution is 800x600. Also set the refresh rate at 60htz, if the refresh is too high it can give out of range errors.

Connecting an External Monitor or Data Projector
You can switch to an external monitor or data projector by two methods. 1. Connect the external monitor to the laptop's video port, power up the external monitor first and the laptop. The video information will automatically switch to the external monitor. 2. If you power up the laptop first then you can switch the video output to the external monitor by pressing the Fn key and one of the Function keys, depending upon your make and model laptop. You can also toggle between the external monitor or both LCD screen plus the external monitor or back to LCD screen only by pressing the Fn key plus one of the function key. Here is a list of key combinations for some of the laptops :- IBM ThinkPad = Fn + F7 HP and Compaq = Fn + F4 Toshiba = Fn + F5 Dell = Fn + F8

My Canon LV-5210 displays no image for my computer. It has worked fine in the past. And it did not work a couple days ago and then it worked OK yesterday when we accidentently pushed the Input buttom. But...

If your projector displays no image, this could be a variety of problems. First, check that the projector has power. On the top of the LCD or DLP projector should be some lights. With power, those lights will be on. If it has power, check to make sure that the projector lamp is firing. If so, go to the source. Make sure that it is connected with a VGA cable or USB cable to your computer, or with an RGB cable, S-Video cable or DVI connection to your VCR/DVD Player. From a laptop computer, the VGA cable should be connected to the VGA out connection, and into the VGA in connection on the projector. Are both ends tight?
If everything has checked out so far, the solution probably lies with the external monitor port. Check this by holding the Fn key on the keyboard, then press the F7 key. (On some computers, the key might be F5 or F3. Try these if F7 doesn't work) Each time you press the Fn / F7 combination, you will cycle your display through the following settings:
* Press Fn / F2 or F2 once: The laptop screen only
* Press Fn / F2 or F2 twice: The projector port only
* Press Fn / F7 or F2 three times: Both the laptop and projector port
* Wait a few seconds after each time you press the key combination to let the LCD or DLP projector refresh. Nine times out of ten this will result in seeing your projected image.
this should help you :)

ACER Aspire One AOA150-1635 and Sharp XR32-X projector

you need to connect it with VGA. then enable the 2nd monitor

4972c40.jpg
now you should have a wallpaper on the projector, you can drag objects to it by draging them out from the screen.

if you don't have the 2nd screen option. Then hold down the blue FN button and then tap F5 see if the picture comes, the FN + F5 will swap around with the outputs.

Infocus projector connected to Toshiba laptop

The sequence is fn first then f5 simultaneously then release. However the problem may be the resolution setting on your computer's 2nd monitor output may be out of range (too High) for the 4805 Start with 1024X768 and see if that works.
