SOURCE: Understanding how to use spa with freeze protection on
freeze protection will always be on. when you're done using the spa just push the heater/spa button. it will turn off. when ever the air temp drops below 37-39 degrees the air sensor will tell the system the it's getting cold and it will kick on the pump. you can change the it under settings menu if you want other pumps to come besides the filter pump

• The low-pressure switch senses the refrigerant pressure in the sealed refrigeration system to protect
against certain conditions that could be detrimental to compressor life. The switch turns the heat
pump off in the event of loss of refrigerant, fan motor failure, evaporator freeze-up, or airflow
blockage. The heat pump will automatically reset the switch after the system pressure rises to the
normal operating pressure. The display will show "LP", if this switch is tripped.

Either you need to defrost the coils, clean the air-flow chamber, get a new air-flow switch or you are running low on refridgerant.
