Any entry into SERVICE mode from the outside panel will override a freeze protect. Be sure to put it back to AUTO in order to resume freeze.

SOURCE: Understanding how to use spa with freeze protection on

freeze protection will always be on. when you're done using the spa just push the heater/spa button. it will turn off. when ever the air temp drops below 37-39 degrees the air sensor will tell the system the it's getting cold and it will kick on the pump. you can change the it under settings menu if you want other pumps to come besides the filter pump

Control panel for spa and pool and spa heaters reads "SEr". cannot turn the temp up or down. Spa will not come on.

This sounds like the spa has been put in the Standard Economy mode.
When your spa is in this mode almost nothing works as it is in a freeze protection mode.
Change the operating mode back to standard and it should work just fine in the future.

Heater has power but flashes code L.P

• The low-pressure switch senses the refrigerant pressure in the sealed refrigeration system to protect

against certain conditions that could be detrimental to compressor life. The switch turns the heat

pump off in the event of loss of refrigerant, fan motor failure, evaporator freeze-up, or airflow

blockage. The heat pump will automatically reset the switch after the system pressure rises to the
normal operating pressure. The display will show "LP", if this switch is tripped.

For more info, look at page 7 on this manual:

Either you need to defrost the coils, clean the air-flow chamber, get a new air-flow switch or you are running low on refridgerant.

There is NO WAY to override freeze protection. Removing the air temp sensor when in spa mode via a relay may be your only option.

It is hard to say with very little information in your problem. But if your having problems with a temp control of any kind and things run but not at the right time the first place to look is your temp sensor. this is a cilinder usually copper or stanless steel about half the size of a ciggeret and a little smaller around with two wires coming out of the end of it. If it reads water it will be inside a pipe and you just have to follow the wires. If it is a air sensor it will probally be just below the control box and ether hanging free or mounted to the wall, but it should be in the shade. If this is on a heater it will be found inside the unit usually on the main water header.
