Hi I have same problem - yes, I have switched off, and switched it back on, also unplugged power supply, left it for 24 hours , plug power supply back in, swithed printer on to receive the same eror message.
Has anyone sensible suggestions for a solution?

The panel on the printer instruct me to restart the printer. It has not use for a while because a ink cartridge needed to be purchase. I have attempted to install the ink but I can not get pass the message on the panel. I have done everything I possible could do (unplug, press menu, turned off, etc.). Now, you need to open the front door and pull out the drum. Try moving the carousel and check if it moves freely. While moving the carousel back and forth try adjusting the cartridges. try to unlock the cartridges and lock them again.
Now turn off the printer and turn it on after 1-2 min.s.
