To begin with I have Dish network my TV went off and since then in order to have picture and sound i have hookup HDMI cable and also video cable to have picture and sound

Hook up your Dish receiver to HDMI 1 port on your TV. Press the input button on your TV remote to change the input to HDMI 1 and you should get a picture on your TV.

When the DISH Network installed hooked up their DVR, did they connect it via HDMI? If so, then it could be a bad HDMI connection. I would bet they simply bypassed your receiver and went straight to the TV, which is why no audio comes out of your receiver. You can test this by turning on your DVR and TV. If you see picture with your receiver OFF, then they bypassed your receiver. You'll need to hook up and HDMI cable from the DVR into the receiver and then out of the receiver to the TV.

There might be a setting on your cable box for audio output. Use the cable remote and look in the audio section of the settings menu and select HDMI output. Mine is under Audio Digital Output in the Audio/Video menu.

First, you need to run the coax cable from your satellite dish to the "cable in" input on the back of your satellite receiver, not the Bose. If your satellite receiver has an HDMI OUT, and if the Bose has an HDMI IN,run hdmi OUT from the rec. to the Bose IN, then keep your HDMI connection from the Bose OUT to the TV IN as is. Make sure you've selected the correct input on the TV menu. As it is right now, you're not delivering any video signal at all to the TV!! -only audio(red and white). There are a couple other ways, but they won't give you the same quality. I assume this is HD, right? If you CAN do it this way (i.e. if you have enough HDMI ins and outs), it's the best possible hookup and you won't need the composite (red, white and yellow) at all. By the way, it's the yellow connector that carries the video signal; the red and white are audio left and right. If you can't hook it up all HDMI, disconnect the "separate cable" (I'm not sure what that is or what kind of cable or what it's for)and plug in the yellow connector into video IN on the Bose.

Try connecting a optical audio cable out from your TV to your sound bar and directly connect your 722 to your TV with HDMI.

Connecting your LG TV to your DISH Network receiver should be fairly easy, depending on the connections you are using. If you are using an HDMI cable you will need to connect one side of it to your LG TV and the other end into your DISH receiver, as long as you have an HD receiver. If you do not have an HD receiver you are probably going to want to use composite cables(red, white and yellow). If you are using either of these cables you are going to have to set your TV to an input in order to receive the DISH picture. You can select an input by finding a button on the TV remote or the TV itself that is listed as input, source, AUX, mode or video. You will need to cycle through each one until you find the DISH picture on one of them. Once you have the picture you will need to press SAT on your DISH remote and everything should be working fine from there. You are correct. I feel your pain. This will not work.

HDMI is a pure digital signal and the providers require the content coming over the Dish DVR to be COPY PROTECTED. So it will not work unless the HDMI cable goes directly from the DVR to the TV. This is to stop people from being able to make their own recordings of Dish shows, or making copies of your DVR recordings. If you really want to run things through your reciver, you're going to have to use the "component" or "composite" video feeds, not the HDMI. Sorry.

It sounds like either on the 612 or the Yamaha Receiver that the HDMI port is faulty, thus causing the flashing picture. It sounds like the 612 to the TV works fine. I would recommend replacing the Yamaha, and if problem persists then try replacing the 612.

ya dish network reg box isnt hd ok u need call dish get hdtv box then u can use hdmi cable to get hi end picture ok for now use cox cable like u do to u can upgrade dish hd sumday k
