Question about Theater

How does an introvert become an actor?

To me there are two types of actors. The first group are more extroverted and may act for a career, often louder, have more lines and go to acting school. The other group are more introverted and quiet and have less lines, and acting might not be their whole career. It's more about how they look and their actions than their words, like Clint Eastwood, Harrison Ford, Steve McQueen or Arnold Schwarzenegger. I think im more of the introverted kind but how would I become an actor if it's all about being loud and theatre based?

Acting is NOT about being loud. Extroverted people *tend* to land more roles because they are willing to take risks and they put themselves in lots of auditions. Over and over and over again.

If you want to learn how to become more comfortable auditioning and acting in general, I recommend an improv class or two. Beginner classes are specifically for people with little to no experience on stage (at local improv theaters).

Can you become an actor with 0 experience?

All actors start with no experience. A good place to get started is to volenteer to help with a community theater doing what ever job they need, not nesesarily on stage. This will give you an opportunity to see what the process is, then you audition for a part in the next production.

Is acting hard? Just wondering how actors memorize hundreds of pages of lines do they have like a time limit?

If you understand the material and the motivation of the character it will help you to memorize because you will understand why the character is saying whatever he or she is saying at that time. So find a script with a small part and begin to practice with a friend. This is something you can do on your own without going to school but it will help you if you ever get a part.

Can you start a club at your school? Or just start an acting club with your friends. Find a few plays in the library and try reading through them.
