Yes as long as you have a disqualifier either on copyright page or in foreward page saying that even though some locations real any person or event is strictly the imagination of the writer.
Consider the irony of your situation: from my own experience with teen fiction, I remember that many of the characters' lives seemed average, bland, and simple until someone else came along. I wouldn't focus on trying to find your ideal existence, rather look at yourself as one of those characters on the brink of something extraordinary. Try identifying with the characters' lives in ways that are similar to your own, but don't try to perfect your own story when every story line has its obstacles.
i personally dont enjoy books that are science-fiction but ive read books that were a lot worse than what you described. i know people that would read it. it just isnt my cup of tea :)
