Trouble with MMS, texting and internet work fine, but cannot use mms.

This handset supports mms (multi-media messaging) as long as it is in one of the following formats, Supported formats : image/jpeg,image/gif,image/png,image/bmp,image/vnd.wap.wbmp,audio/midi,audio/sp-midi,audio/mid,audio/iMelody,text/plain,application/smil,application/vnd.eri.thm,application/vnd.wap.mms-message,application/vnd.wap.multipart.mixed,application/vnd.wap.multipart.alternative,application/vnd.wap.multipart.related,application/vnd.oma.drm.message,application/vnd.sem.mms.protected,application/vnd.oma.drm.content

If it is in the supported format, then you can retrieve it if you have the wireless internet service through your wireless carrier. The ability to send a text message does not constitute internet availability. Text or SMS does not run on the same platform as mms or WAP, which is the wireless internet ability. If you are not able to retrieve the mms message when you select it, you will need to contact your wireless provider.

i,m on orange too, and when i had trouble sending mms I contacted orange via 450, and requested a update text they sent it and it automatically fixed the problem.

Just to make sure, you have to have internet to receive mms mssges

yes sir you need to set up internet on your phone in order to use the mms service.contact your service provider to get the settings for mms and internet.

i used this for mine. it works alright for recieving and sending. but im still having trouble recieving from black berries.

Nevermind! I found the solution. You just have to go to nokia.com and choose your phone and you can have them text the MMS and web settings directly to your phone and then you simply save the settings and after I did this, no problems. Works like a charm now! Stupid AT&T customer service.... Grrr.

You need to get the Settings for Internet/Wap and MMS from your service provider. These settings are usually sent as a text msg. When you receive the msg. choose save or install on your phone. Or you might find the settings on their website.
MMS doesn't always work between networks.

TRY RENEWING PROXY SERVER FOR MEDIA NET. THIS SHOULD CORRECT THE MMS PROBLEM....

Mine works fine- here are my settings on thePrada (multimedia settings for messages)

T-Mo MMS as connection
Proxy port is 9201
Proxy IP is 216.155.165.50
Internet mode is WAP
Profile name is T-Mo MMS
MMSC is http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
