There are many possibles that can cause "Close Front Cover"
Check the front cover actuator, switch. If all covers, switches is working fine, probably power supply is faulty.
It does the machine has 2 sets of trays permanently attached all below that come off. The stapler comes off (if installed). The Document feeder can be removed. Do not lay it on it's side unless you take out the drum and developer units out I would avoid this if possible.
