Hi All My Moto G has stopped the audible noise, pulse light and text message icon when I receive texts but I don't know why or how to get them back. Any ideas?

select -Options-
Settings,
Text Message,
Reply Via Same Centre (choose NO)

Follow this steps in the given order -
1) Switch off your phone
2) Remove memory card
3) Switch on your phone
4) Ask a friend to send you a message. Now you will hear the tone
5) Switch off, insert the memory card & switch on again
6) Ask someone to send a message again. It will work

I had the same problem, and the reason is that you have to much sms (usually >2000). You have to delete unnecessary ones, go to enabled applications, uncheck message notification, go back to the home screen, and go to enabled applications to check message notification again. The messa ge notification will display again
