Where can i locate the Clean Boot Files from please ?
Go to devzone.symbol.com, then click on the "Click here to enter Support Central" link. From there enter "clean boot" in the search box and select "Mobile Computers" in the Product Line drop-down and MC70 in the Product drop-down. Then click "Go". When the results are displayed, choose to sort by "Most recent" instead of "Most relevant". Then the first entry will be the clean boot files for if your device is running WM 6.1, and the one that's about 5 entries down will be the clean boot files for if your device is running WM 5.0.

Clean Booting the CN50
If the CN50 seems to be locked up, try warm booting and then cold booting the computer. If neither method works, use a clean boot to get the computer up and running for further troubleshooting. When you clean boot, the CN50 only loads files and applications that are absolutely required by the operating system. A clean boot returns the CN50 to an "out of the box" or factory default state, so that you can run diagnostic tests to troubleshoot the normal boot processes:
To clean boot the computer using the mobile computer:
1 Remove the battery pack from the back of the CN50.
2 Reinsert the battery pack and press the Power button.
3 When the CN50 starts the boot process, simultaneously press <and > until the IPL Boot Configuration Menu appears on the screen.
4 Press 2 to select Force Clean Boot and then press 0 to select
Continue with Boot.
The CN50 executes the clean boot. This process takes a few minutes
The clean boot process erases the CN50 memory, including all applications and data files in the object store. To preserve applications through a clean boot, store them in the Flash File Store.

Resetting the MC75
There are two reset functions, warm boot and cold boot. A warm boot restarts the MC75 by closing all running
programs. A cold boot also restarts the MC75, and also resets the clock. Data saved in flash memory or a memory
card is not lost.
If the MC75 is not functioning properly, perform a warm boot first. If the MC75 still does not respond, perform a cold
boot.
Performing a Warm Boot
Hold down the Power button for approximately five seconds. As soon as the MC75 starts to boot release the
Power button.
Performing a Cold Boot
To perform a cold boot simultaneously press the Power button and the 1 and 9 keys.
