2003 ford e350 brake light on dash will not turn off.

You brake lights are actuated by a switch that is connected to the brake pedal or to the hydraulics. It's sticking in the closed position. I'd need to see a shop manual on your car - or the car itself - to tell you any more than that, but that's your problem. The first place to look would be at the brake pedal, under the dash, near the top of the linkage. Shine a flashlight up there and see if you can see a see the switch. It may look like this:



If it's not there, it could be in the hydraulics. In that case, you should take the car to a brake shop.
You may be able to find a used break light switch online.

yes you should also look in the owners manual and see if theres any relays that could be blown

may have a defective headlight switch or a bad relay for rear lights..

check your fuses first

push brakes gages lightsand pressure gage drops down turns on push gaz light tuns off and presure gage goes to normale

make sure your brake lights work!thats the first step! if so the shift lock solenoid went bad! you can reach on the left side of the cloum and disconnect it to get you going

Sounds like it is getting power but has a ground issue if the socket is not burnt or melted.

Have you checked the fuse for the brake lights and have you checked the brake light switch.
The brake light switch is directly above your foot when it is placed on the brake pedal.

replace the turn signal switch in the steering column
